Mountain Treasure Bed and Breakfast

Mountain Treasure Inn lived up to its name which caught my interest to select it for a weekend stay in Hunter, NY. The peaceful country setting immediately spells relaxation; the owners, Agnas and Jan, offered a warm welcome; we knew we were in the right place! The Inn is beautiful in its simplicity, and the abundance of artwork and antiques bring distinct character to the bedrooms and the common area. Agnas makes a delicious breakfast of her chickens’ eggs and her special Belgian waffle; the aroma of hot bread is from the wonderful late afternoon cake available for guests. It is apparent that Agnas and Jan love their life in the Catskills, sharing it with their guests and taking care that each guest is enjoying the stay. We look forward to returning in the Spring and Summer.

Lovely little B&B near Windham & Hunter. Room was clean with a nice-sized bathroom and comfortable bed. Breakfast was delicious, with the freshest of eggs, and always a tasty afternoon snack. Service was great. Proprietors are friendly and accomodating - helping with directions and ideas for what to do. They made a roaring fire at the firepit each nite and supplied the makings for 'smores. Will definitely return!

Excellent experience. Agnes was a terrific host. Clean, friendly and great food. Everything as advertised. Would definitely stay again. Breakfast was eggs, bacon, toast, yogurt fruit parfait with coffee and tea. Our room had it's own bathroom.

Mountain Treasure was without a doubt, the best place I’ve ever stayed. Agnes and Jan; the owners, were so welcoming and friendly. My husband and I stayed here for a weekend while visiting family nearby. The room we stayed in, the Blue Breeze, was extremely clean and cozy. The bed was so comfortable and we both slept great. There were plenty of cable channels to choose from while we relaxed in the room before bed. The property is truly beautiful and perfect for relaxing outside. The home cooked breakfasts Agnes made for us was absolutely delicious. I can’t put into words how much we enjoyed them. In fact, since getting back home, we both wake up saying how much we miss Agnes’ breakfast! There were also home made treats waiting for us when we returned at the end of the day. We definitely plan on staying at Mountain Treasure again and in fact, are looking forward to it. This B&B is certainly a gem and we feel quite lucky to have found it.

My boyfriend and I went up to go snowboarding for our anniversary, and we had the best time! the bed was so comfortable and the pillows were perfect. Agnes was the best host! she is so friendly and breakfast was amazing! we will definitely be back next time we come up to the mountain. :)

Agnes is an amazing host, friendly, helpful, and full of personality from the start. The beds were extremely comfortable. The room was large and able to fit all our overpacking for one night. The snow never came as predicted 👎🏻 but we still had a great time. Breakfast was super yummy! Thank you Agnes 🥰 your Jersey guests will be back!
