We have been staying at Marriott properties for several years. Have been a member since 2005 and will get an email to leave a review after our stays. I will submit reviews leave honest feedback. Our stay was June 30th and July 1st. I have been waiting for the notification to leave my review on Marriott, but since it hasn't arrived, I am leaving it here. Odd how I never received an email to review our stay. I believe this might be the first time this has happened. So, after that long opening, this is probably the most unwelcoming stay we have ever had. When I checked us in on June 30th, the gentleman at the front desk seemed almost bothered I was there and only spoke to me two times, asking my last name and telling me he would be right back when he left to get the key cards for our room. He never informed me of any amenities, such as Wi-Fi access, breakfast hours and so forth. The common areas were far from clean. Saturday morning July 1st, in the breakfast area, the tables were dirty and there was garbage on the floor. One of the staff working in this area was on her cell phone the entire time we were in this area. The hallways had garbage and linens strewn about. On Sunday morning, the common area still had garbage and linens on the floor, but we lucked out with one of the staff members in the breakfast area. Thank you Maria! You couldn't have been more helpful, kind and engaging. We hope that you are recognized for your hard work. I will say that our room was clean, well stocked and had a fresh smell to it. Our positive interaction with Maria couldn't outweigh the all of the negatives from our stay and that's why the review is rated low.
