Anahita Boutique Hotel

Strange place. Don’t have breakfast! It’s a chaotic welcome with what we assume to be the owner’s daughter rollerblading around the entrance and reception area just off the pizza /Persian restaurant . The room itself ( premium room) on first glance looks impressive and it’s these photos that encouraged us to book here together with it’s central location.However it’s the little details that are missing. Such as the shower screen opens onto the area with the shower head which is immediately next to the loo! The bedside tables are taken up with large lamp bases making them really difficult to use. That being said the room was very very clean and comfortable. The huge bed and pillows made for a great night’s sleep. Breakfast however was quite the worst service we have witnessed anywhere and we have travelled quite extensively. We arrived and waited in excess of 10 minutes for the waitress to address us. It’s not at all clear what our pre-paid breakfast included from their extensive breakfast menu. When we asked the waitress we were told we had to pay!! We explained we’d pre-paid and she then had to ask the owner what was included .She returned sometime later and just said order whatever!! She was terse and not very engaging. It was as if we were a massive inconvenience. 30 minutes later our coffee and orange juice arrived! 30 minutes to make a coffee in what was a very quiet restaurant?? ( 5 people including us!)The breakfast when it arrived was adequate and as described. However the only other people in the restaurant were not so lucky they had the wrong items delivered and the waitress blamed them and huffed and was very short with them. Perhaps she needs some more training? Breakfast took so long that we were inevitably late in checking out. So in conclusion it’s an ok stay but I’d suggest breakfasting elsewhere there’s lots of better options

Anahita Boutique Hotel is very well located for a short stay in Malaga. We enjoyed the ambience of the room as it was in keeping with the history of the building. Nice to stay in a hotel with a difference. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. We felt very welcomed.

Had a fantastic stay for 4 nights 20-24th August Staff were amazing! All friendly and hard working. Thanks to Alexandra, Ankle, Jess, Nicole, Alejandro Superb location for local attractions Hotel is clean with great decor The hotel bath tubs are wonderful! Great amenities such as kettle and mini fridge, shower gels, soaps and body lotions, slippers etc It was so great we stayed an extra night at the last minute!

This is the best hotel in Malaga. Very affordable and luxurious for the price you’re paying. Service was impeccable, thank you Alexandra! She helped us with every little thing and made sure our trip was unforgettable. We had the premium room and it was absolutely stunning, the balcony was facing the lively street and we enjoyed drinking our coffee there every morning. The bath tub was one of the highlights of the entire trip, you must experience it. They also have a restaurant in the hotel, and they had the best Tinto de Verano I’ve tried throughout my whole 6 night trip in Spain. Lastly, the location is probably the best out of all the hotels; very close to all the restaurants / bars / clubs but also to the taxi station and Uber / Bolt drop off zone, so we didn’t have to walk a lot with our luggages. 10/10

Had a lovely 1 night stay here before heading to Marbella Room was great and over two stories, bathroom was beautiful and it was very clean and the location was perfect for us. Tiny tiny negative was the stairs are quite steep in 302 and narrow in places but overall would 100% stay again. There is a nightclub across the road but I could only hear noise when in the bathroom at night slept so soundly on the 2nd floor bedroom and the AC works an absolute treat!

We had such high hopes for this hotel. The one and only redeeming quality of this hotel is the location. Other than that, the experience was not good. The “reception”’area was an office at the end of the hall with a closed door. The woman Alexandra who helped us was pleasant enough. They are highly unqualified. The TV didn’t work and she and an Iranian man (we think the owner) came up to fix the tv. They had to track down a door hanger for do not disturb. The shower leaked, mold everywhere, housecleaning was a joke. Never changed towels or actually cleaned the room. The restaurant there was generally unoccupied which is a real red flag in a part of town that is bustling with energy! We are truly disappointed and would never ever stay there again if we went back to Malaga

Not really boutique but I may have just got a bad room ;( the entrance and restaurant were empty and lacked an ambience and I knew as soon as I went into reception that it wasn’t going to be fabulous because the lack of attention to detail showed in the reception area … the staff were sweet but the space looks shabby and my room was very dark and when you opened curtains it opened onto all the walkways to the hotel rooms so couldn’t really have them open I did ask for a change of room but non available - maybe with a view it’s better but it feels shabby with marks on the wall and though clean it was just lacking lots … there was two cockroaches that scuttled across the floor and although we can expect them anywhere in hot countries it did finish me off and I was glad to go . The staff were really kind and with a little bit more attention to detail and a redecorate and bringing some love and energy to the restaurant and entrance it could be great ! Location is great and felt safe and near stuff - I booked another hotel ten minutes away which was cheaper but much brighter and so much more magical - big views and light rooms … my energy lifted immediately - I hope they do a refurb cos it could be great

Couldn’t believe the location was even better than described. Managed to do a lot just on foot. Having a pharmacy and mini market less than a minute away, was very convenient. Very friendly staff, and a real king size bed without separate mattresses. Very comfortable too. Loved the usage of elements of the former building with the new. We’re not very experienced or high maintenance travellers but really lucked out on this beautiful boutique hotel for a city trip. One thing we can’t blame the hotel for: the ‘hidden’ hip new night club across the street. Noisy partygoers in front of the club some nights. Even with that in mind, we’d book the Anahita again for our next trip. If I really had to write a negative thing: the lamps on the bedside table are too big.
