We only had two days in Manila for the grand finale of our honeymoon before heading back to China. The vibe? Total luxury. We crashed at Discovery Primea, right in the heart of Makati. Our room was spacious, super comfy, and the 24/7 room service was basically a honeymoon dream come true 😂. Just outside the hotel, you're spoiled for choice: a lush park for morning strolls, tons of restaurants, and a massive shopping mall (Glorietta Mall, Ayala Center, Makati—open daily from 10AM to 9PM). We hit up the supermarket inside for a Filipino snacks haul, so our suitcase was loaded with local goodies for the trip home. Why we liked it: - Perfect central location—steps from cafes, shops, and all the action - Rooms are big and super comfy, with ultra-soft beds - Everything is spotless! Clean and fresh vibes everywhere - Loads of restaurants around Discovery Primea—just stroll and pick whatever looks tempting - Stock up on Filipino snacks at Glorietta Mall for the perfect souvenir 📌 Tips - Grab rides are easy and safe—plus, you can pay with Alipay - Don’t stress over the service in some spots, just chase the good food! - Discovery Primea is super convenient for both exploring Makati and chilling out - Double check your bill for extra charges at hotels or restaurants, just in case

Das Hotelzimmer ist sehr komfortabel und sauber! Das Hotelpersonal ist sehr höflich und der Service ist sehr gut! Die einzige Unzufriedenheit war, dass der Service des Restaurantpersonals beim Morgenessen etwas chaotisch war. Am ersten Tag des Essens arrangierte das Restaurantpersonal Sitzplätze für uns und bat uns, zuerst das Essen zu holen, da sie den Esstisch abräumen mussten , aber als ich mit dem Essen zurückkam, drückten wir. Als wir den Esstisch aufstellten, schien es, als würden andere Kunden ihn benutzen, und ich wusste nicht einmal, wohin ich mit dem Essen in meiner Hand gehen sollte! Es beeinflusst wirklich meine Stimmung und macht mich sehr verlegen! Am Ende hat das Personal andere Plätze für uns arrangiert, aber das hat meine Essensstimmung beeinträchtigt😑

Das Zimmer war gut. Die Zimmerreinigung war sehr effizient. Ich wünschte, wir hätten ein Zimmer in einem höheren Stockwerk gehabt, da es ursprünglich im 9. Stock sein sollte, aber da wir früh eingecheckt hatten, war nur ein Zimmer im 7. Stock verfügbar. Das Zimmer war im alten Stil. Ich hatte mehr erwartet, da es ein 5-Sterne-Hotel ist. Insgesamt würde ich 3,5/5 geben. Ich denke, es gibt da draußen bessere Optionen!

Was given a room without bidet and hair dryer, AC and fridge not cold and visible moulds in the ceiling. The room is quite old and does not befit of 5 star status. I was relocated to a better room after giving this feedback but just wondering why they still give this kind of room to their guest? The hotel has seen its better times and quite jaded. I have to say that the hotel staff service is good, friendly and accommodating typical of Filipino renowned hospitality.

Checking in to this hotel was smooth. The staff was friendly and understood our concerns. They even upgraded our room to an apartment which was fabulous! Logging in to their internet was a bit confusing though because the lady at the front desk forgot to mention where we suppose to enter the credentials. The room was homey but with a little smell that's still tolerable. The food in the breakfast buffet was okay. But the good thing about this hotel is the malls downstairs. Very accessible

Ein gepflegtes, sauberes Hotel. Das Frühstück ist gut und bietet eine große Auswahl. Eine Kaution wird erhoben. Das Personal ist zuvorkommend. Der Pool im 19. Stock bietet einen wunderschönen Blick über die Stadt.

Schnelles WLAN. Schöner Blick auf die Straße vom Zimmer aus. Das Zimmer, das ich gebucht hatte, war am günstigsten, also gab es keinen Balkon zum Sitzen, nur einen Balkon für den Klimakompressor. Ich finde die Waschmaschine super, da ich ein paar T-Shirts zu waschen habe. Waschmittel kann man im Savemore-Supermarkt direkt unter der Wohnung kaufen. Das Zimmer hat ein Wohnzimmer und eine Küche, aber ich habe nicht gekocht. Schöne Gegend zum Übernachten. Wir mussten uns anmelden und uns vom Administrator in der Lobby fotografieren lassen, bevor wir auf unser Zimmer im 19. Stock gingen. 2-3 Tage vor der Ankunft schickten wir ihnen Fotos unserer Reisepässe und bekamen eine Aufenthaltsgenehmigung. Als wir ankamen, sagten sie, wir müssten uns noch anmelden. Wir haben ziemlich lange gewartet, da ihr Computer ein Problem hatte und sie ihn neu gestartet haben und zu diesem Zeitpunkt mehr als 10 Gäste da waren. Der Pool befindet sich im 8. Stock und man muss 150 Pesos pro Person für die Nutzung bezahlen. Sehr schnelle Antwort jedes Mal, wenn ich dem Gastgeber eine E-Mail schicke. Insgesamt haben wir unseren Aufenthalt genossen.

★★★★☆ 4.2/5 Prince Plaza II Condotel is one of those places that knows exactly what it is and doesn’t pretend to be anything else. Its greatest strength is undoubtedly its location. Situated in the heart of Makati and just a block away from Ayala Avenue, it strikes a pleasant balance between accessibility and quiet. You’re close enough to be in the middle of everything, yet tucked away from the busiest streets. Greenbelt, countless restaurants, cafés, convenience stores, and shopping options are literally just a short walk away. For travelers looking to unwind after a long day, there are several massage establishments nearby, and even in-house massage services are available, making it particularly convenient for guests staying a few days or longer. The building itself is undeniably old. Not neglected, not unsafe, and certainly not dilapidated—but old in the way many well-built structures are. You can tell it has decades behind it. In fact, it feels like one of those older buildings that have simply endured better than some newer developments. If you’re expecting sleek contemporary aesthetics, this may not be your first choice. If you’re primarily interested in practicality and location, the age becomes less important. The elevator situation deserves mention. During my stay, only one elevator was operational while another was undergoing upgrades. The functioning elevator is manually operated and has a charmingly old-school character—including a ceiling fan. Surprisingly, it was more efficient than elevators in some much newer buildings I’ve visited. Guests simply contact reception when they need the elevator to stop at their floor. It sounds unusual on paper but worked smoothly in practice. The room itself was exactly what I needed: clean, comfortable, and functional. The shower, toilet, and sink were all well-maintained with reliable water pressure and both hot and cold water available. The air-conditioning cooled the room effectively, Wi-Fi was dependable, and the television offered a respectable selection of channels. I also appreciated the practical amenities: a stove with kitchen ventilation, microwave, refrigerator, electric kettle, and an in-room safety box. The windows face the courtyard side of the property, allowing natural daylight into the room. The staff were professional, courteous, and efficient throughout my stay. If your priority is finding a safe, convenient, and comfortable place to rest while spending most of your time exploring Makati, I would happily recommend Prince Plaza II Condotel. In fact, given its location and room amenities, it could also work quite well for longer stays.

The room was spacious but I didn’t get enough sleep because of the window towards the hallways. It was too bright. A guest was aggressively trying to open my door while I was asleep so I was left thinking about my life lol please have proper communication with the other guests next time

The location is very strategic and the transportation is very well convenient. Especially if you are going to Makati Business District. And of your planing to go a market which is Pasay Market eady ride just take a jeepney. And of your going to the airport very accessible for you to tale the Skyway. Will definitely stay here again. Must try and stay.
