Very nice host and clean bnb. Breakfast was excellent!

The owner is typical French, less than friendly, but she really knows how to operate a B and B. We were a bit early, but had no problem checking in. Room was well appointed with comfy bed and adequate bathroom. Outstanding breakfast. Quality of food and presentation were unmatched. No meat in breakfast, but still outstanding. Deserves its ranking.

We loved our stay in Magog at Manoir Merry. It was perfectly located for walking along the lake & to the main shopping/eating area. Caroline is a fabulous cook & served us beautiful & delicious breakfasts each morning—we couldn’t wait to see what would come next!! We highly recommend staying with Caroline & Brian!!

We just returned from a wonderful stay at the Manoir de la rue Merry. We received a friendly greeting and were shown around by Benjamin. Benjamin & Caroline are fluent in English but my family enjoyed practicing their French with them. We booked 3 rooms and travelled with my parents and my two adult children. The rooms were comfortable and the grounds are beautiful. The B&B is in a perfect location, a short walking distance to downtown Magog. The highlight of our stay were the incredible 3 course breakfasts served by Caroline. We all agreed that they were the best we had ever had. We hope to return again soon. Merci!

This spectacular B & B is hosted by a very friendly and accommodating couple. The breakfast is beautiful and very filling with an appetizer, homemade toast and jam, followed by a different main breakfast each day. We had waffles covered with a variety of fruit with maple syrup and real whipped cream one day for example. The beds and pillows are very comfortable. Everything is super clean. There a nice backyard with table and chairs , loungers, Adirondack chairs ,fire feature, swimming pool and a water fountain feature with gold fish, it is very relaxing. Also there are many great restaurants and activity's within walking distance. The park and beach on gorgeous Lake Memphramagog are very close. There is a safe bike path through the nearby park. The streets also have wide bike paths that are well marked. There’s a brunch or dinner cruise ship that provides a 3 hour tour of the lake in walking distance. Magog is a great place to stay and we highly recommend staying at Au Manoir De La Rue Merry B & B!

Our hosts were very accommodating and the room and manor were well kept and impeccably clean! Lastly, the breakfast was Michelin star quality! Every day we had a different breakfast and each day it was a three course meal! Lastly, the location to the town was close enough to walk but far enough from and street noise - we will definitely stay here again!

This is a top-notch B&B in a lovely old home that is conveniently located at the edge of downtown Magog, across the street from the lake. It is well appointed and very clean, and Benjamin and Caroline are attentive to all your needs. Travelers' rave reviews about their three-course breakfasts are well deserved. At least 18 different fresh fruits, some exotic, attractively accompanied each main course, a different one of which Caroline presented every morning, along with her homemade jams and rillettes. We stayed there three nights during the total eclipse and very much enjoyed a special time at this special place. We highly recommend a visit at any time of year.

The third-floor tiny room was cozy and quiet. We had a lovely view of the lake and watched the sunset behind Mt. Orford. The front porch was a great spot to sit and enjoy a glass of wine and watch people walk by. The breakfast was amazing! I hope you wake up hungry because the meal is one of the best I've ever had! We had freshly squeezed orange juice, croissants with jams, duck/turkey pate, cheeses and fruit, and waffles with maple syrup.

This is a lovely B&B, and I would rate it as a 4.5. We stayed two nights in the Lindsay room on the second floor - the room is spacious, with a small frig in the closet. Two windows, one with a view of the church next door. There are roller blinds on the windows, which I didn’t find until the second day. My problem was with the very firm bed. Sleep quality is very important to me, and I didn’t feel rested in the morning (DH didn’t mind the bed). The bathroom is small, especially the shower area,but the water pressure was great! The best part of our stay were the breakfasts! The menu is posted ahead of time (got to practice my basic French), and included coffee/tea, fresh squeezed orange juice (which was delicious), toast with two homemade preserves and rillettes (similar to pate), a yogurt parfait and the entre. The first breakfast was a waffle with fresh fruit and chocolate drizzle, the second was cheese toast with bacon and asparagus, and an assortment of fresh fruit (I think I counted 18 different types of fruit)! Just a few minutes walk to several restaurants - we ate at Des Canton Microbrasserie (yummy French onion soup).
