The staff is terrible. Very very very uncooperative. They didn’t allow us for staying in the room for even 15 more minutes despite the fact that we checked in the midnight only. Moreover they didn’t even permit the ladies to use the washroom afterwards. Will not recommend anyone to stay here n get humiliated.

The hotel is near by madurai periyar bus stand. I was traveled with my family. It was a good stay. Reasonable price. If you are searching for the budget hotel, it is a perfect choice. Hassle free check in and check out.

Hotel room is average. Does not provide basic facilities (blankets, soap, towels. Room has lots of mosquitoes. This is not suitable for night stay. Good for freshen up and getting ready.

Poor parking facility. No hygiene. Dirty bed (no bed sheet. Shower not working. Tv is there but no cable connection.

This Taj hotel isn’t nearly as good as others in the chain. Though the situation is pleasant, it’s a long way from anywhere. For us, a major downside was that the hotel is on the side of a hill so there are stairs everywhere – not too funny in 36C (there are buggies to transport guests, but they are very few and far between). The room wasn’t bad, though it was quite tired (and had geckos). The outside was in dire need of maintenance with paint falling from window frames. Facilities weren’t great: the bar wasn’t open and the snooker table had a strange mix of balls (see picture). Staff were helpful, though frankly not very competent. Food I the restaurant was OK. I wouldn’t choose to stay here again and I think the Taj chain should examine how this place is run.

This historic property has been thoughtfully converted into a hotel and is set on many acres of beautiful gardens. The view from the restaurant of the city is wonderful. The staff here was attentive and friendly at all times and the food in the restaurant was very good. We were in three rooms above the office/reception area and sometimes we could hear noise from below. I do recommend ear plugs because the peacocks, while lovely, are very noisy and it persisted into the night.

Our family had an amazing time at this hotel. It was a beautiful and serene place. The best part about our stay was the service. Everyone was so hospitable, especially Mr. Thanga Pandian Muthusamy. He went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. He arranged a boxed lunch for our kids because our flight was during lunch time. He also made out daughter feel so special with giving her peacock feathers. We are glad we stayed at this hotel!

One of the best Taj properties I have seen. Excellent support staff made our stay a one to remember for a long time to come. We stayed for 3 days and it was absolute pleasure - felt sad that our vacation was coming to an end. I would also like to convey my gratitude and my highest appreciation to M/s Manikandan, Govind, Ashwini, Eshwar, Saina, Subash, Suhal, Sudipto, and the larger team - they made our stay a memorable one.
