Tolles, super nettes Personal! Absolut zentrale Lage, alle wesentlichen Sehenswürdigkeiten sind zu Fuß gut zu erreichen, coole Zimmer mit individuellem Flair und bestens ausgestatteter Minibar, Rooftop-Bar mit speziellem Pool. Eine klasse Unterkunft - jederzeit gerne wieder!

Mein 2. Besuch im RIU Plaza Espana hat auch in Corona Zeiten die Erwartungen erfüllt. Die zentrale Lage zur Altstadt, dem königlichen Madrid als auch dem Kneipenviertel macht es zu einem idealen Ort für Städtereisen und Geschäftsreisen. Die Zimmer sind sehr gut und modern ausgestattet, unseres mit Balkon hat mir sehr gut gefallen und bot auch eine gute Aussicht in die Gran Via und zur Plaza Espana. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist auch weiterhin so riesig und war überhaupt nicht eingeschränkt. Die RoofTopBar ist wirklich schön und als Hotelgast muss man sich nicht in die Schlange der sonstigen Gäste anstellen, aber wir empfanden sie als zu voll. Da ”die Generation Instagram” ja nur Fotos machen muss um diese schnell zu teilen, kommt nicht wirklich eine entspannte Atmoshäre auf. Die Aussicht ist toll und lohnt den Besuch, die Cocktails sind auch gut und man sollte dort oben gewesen sein. Nur muss man wissen, dass es am Abend sehr voll ist und viel Bewegung. Am Pool kann man sich nur ”befristet” aufhalten, was auf Grund der Größe des Hauses auch verständlich ist. Es war sehr voll und auch etwas eng und unübersichtlich. Für eine kurze Erfrischung ein sehr guter Ort ansonsten sehr trubelig. Bevor man das Restaurant betritt wird Fieber gemessen und das ist bis auf die Masken auch das einzige Anzeichen dafür, dass Covid 19 uns noch begleitet. Am Hotel fahren diverse Buslinien ab und es befindet sich hier auch eine Metrostation mit verschiedenen Linien.

Das Zimmer war sehr gut, die Aufmerksamkeit bei der Ankunft, die Rezeptionistin erklärte uns sehr freundlich, wie wir mit der U-Bahn zum IFEMA gelangen, das nur 9 Gehminuten vom Hotel entfernt ist und bis zur Haltestelle El Pinar de Chamartín reicht.

A nice hotel with many lovely features on each floor , shame about no coffee making facilities in room a huge disappointment as it’s the first thing we like when we wake up , only ate in hotel once food was terrible for a 5 star had to send my husband’s back and got a very cold response from waitress , put things on our table we didn’t ask for and expected us to pay €12 for a bit of bread it’s not how it should be , we were not willing to pay the full bill and the waitress was rude and if looks could kill , receptionist were helpful and sorted any issues out we had , please employ staff that know how to be with customers it stopped us eating there again at the very expensive cost.location was okay but not as central as we were lead to believe but still worth a visit just for the style . Please be warned the pool is ice cold as not heated and lots of the hotel was closed so we didn’t get to use most of it and that was disappointing as it was one of the reasons we booked with them.it wasn’t a cheap hotel we were a couple with our parents and expect coffee making facilities in our room at that cost. Please take that on board hotel owners .

Impeccable services, fantastic facilities, and great location. We will definitely consider staying in this hotel again when revisiting Madrid.

We were in Madrid for the first time, and picked Barcello de Torre primarily based on location and the glowing reviews on Trip Advisor. Anything you read that's positive is true: it's new, clean, perfectly located, reasonably priced, great breakfast, etc, but it seems like every menber of the staff goes out of their way to make you feel welcome. It's an easy walk to the Royal Palace, the Plaza de Espana subway stop is directly across the street, lots of restaurants close by, easy walk to Puerta del Sol, excellent dinner in the restaurant. large rooms. An extremely well run operation that should be the model for others in it's class.

Wir blieben eine Woche lang und genossen es wirklich. Exzellent sauber, wirklich freundlich und aufmerksames Personal, gute Atmosphäre im unteren Bar-Raum und auf der Dachbar, gutes Frühstück und sehr komfortabel, gut ausgestattetes Zimmer. Zunächst war es nicht zu sicher, aber wir waren bald sehr komfortabel und fanden einige große Bars und Restaurants vor Ort auf der Touristenbahn. Große Lage zum Spaziergang zum Zentrum, La Latina, El Rastro, dem Park (El Retiro), den Kunstgalerien und den U-Bahn-/Zügenverbindungen. Liebe Madrid.

We stayed at the Hotel Opera recently for the second time, to celebrate a special Wedding Anniversary. We had an absolutely wonderful time. The hotel is centrally located, right next to the Opera House and close to all the attractions of central Madrid. We had nothing but excellent service from the staff throughout our whole stay - they are very responsive and helpful. The room is spacious, clean and comfortable with everything you need including a few little extras like a comb and shoeshine. Breakfast was excellent every morning, a great choice of English-style and continental offerings, The Spanish tortilla and home-made fruit tarts are particularly recommended. You need to book breakfast at a specific time, and this avoids the ”scrum” that some previous reviewers have described. Just two things prevent me giving a 5-star review. First of all it is some time since the hotel was refurbished so some of the fittings are starting to look a little tired. Secondly the cafe has changed since we were last there, it used to be possible to get tapas-style snacks from a counter display 24/7, now it is table service with hot food only available when the kitchen is open - in the evening it starts serving at 8pm which is a little late for us, so if you feel the same you need to go out to one of the many good tapas bars around. But overall we love this hotel and will certainly revisit!

Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral. Es ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Die Zimmer sind allerdings recht klein, auch in gehobeneren Preiskategorien. Service professionell und im Großen und Ganzen ok, allerdings dauerte es recht lange, bis mein Koffer aufs Zimmer gebracht wurde, ich musste an der Rezeption anrufen und daran erinnern, da ich einen Termin hatte. Ich hatte um ein besonders stilles Zimmer gebeten und erhielt dann eines mit Blick auf den Hinterhof und ohne jedes Sonnenlicht. Leider wurde ich dennoch am nächsten Morgen um 7:30 durch laute Musik aus dem Nachbarzimmer geweckt. Das Fühstück ist ok, aber nichts besonderes. Ingesamt ein durchschnittlicher Aufenthalt zu einem weit, weit überdurchschnittlichen Preis. Früher war das principal eines meiner bevorzugten Hotels in Madrid. Wenn ich es auf Basis meines letzten Aufenthaltes bewerte, muss ich sagen, dass es leider spürbar nachgelassen hat.

Als wir im Hotel ankamen, war es schon sehr spät und mir wurde gesagt, dass Ctrip den Vertrag gekündigt hatte. Ich kenne mich vor Ort nicht aus und war daher sehr besorgt. Aber der Rezeptionist sagte sofort, dass er auf jeden Fall helfen würde, das Problem zu lösen. Ich war erleichtert und es war ein sehr sicheres Hotel. Auch das Zimmer ist toll, da zwei Stufen den Wohn- und Schlafbereich trennen. In der Nähe gibt es leckere Kaffee- und Snackläden, sodass Sie sich keine Sorgen über den Jetlag machen müssen.
