My husband & myself stopped by this hotel on a Sunday Night (Monday Morning). We checked into the room. The room smell bothered me & the smoke detector had been ripped of the wall & was missing (picture attached). I am currently undergoing cancer treatment & was 2 weeks out of major surgery on that night. I was desperately tired, so I tried to sleep. One hour later I awoke with breathing problems, a rash & a bite (pictures attached). I immediately turned on the light & started looking around. The headboard right by my head was covered with mold on the edges by my head (pictures attached). We immediately got up & went to the front desk to leave. The man said at least you got a few hours sleep & that it could be mold but he's not sure. No refund was offered or given. As a immune compromised person dealing with mandatory travel due to a family member in hospice, this was a horrible & dangerous situation. This is also a Health Department & Fire Marshall safety issue. I have been attempting to receive a refund of my money for 2 weeks. I was told to email pictures, which I did, & still have received no response. I have been told the owner was on vacation, off, not available for the past 2 weeks & have received no response. I would highly recommend sleeping in your car in a rest area before staying here.
