Quest Petone

Great for a short stay before heading overseas, will definitely stay again. Clean and compact.

Not much to say all was good staff helpful hotel clean and reasonable quite, nice view of somes island, pity about the weather but that's Wellington (Petone).

Good experience, except for the parking

In 40 plus years hotel stays, we have very seldom encountered a better receptionist than Gurdev. He was empathetic, especially obliging and prepared to travel well beyond the call of duty to assist two aging travelers. His professionalism, knowledge and depth of understanding of individuals needs was exemplary. His calm, friendly demeanor and warm welcoming style was a revelation and the Quest Petone is blessed to have such a brilliant operator in their employ. His awareness and application of the guest first philosophy is a perfect model for all aspiring hotel staff to emulate. There is so much to admire in his self-effacing, relaxed approach and his professional service has ensured that whenever we travel to the Wellington area, the Quest Petone is where we will stay.

We were needing to book some accommodation in Petone at very short notice and found most places were booked when we searched online. Thankfully a phone call to Quest Petone was successful and the staff member who helped my husband make the booking was pleasant, friendly and very helpful, then the studio apartment on the third floor that was allocated was lovely with a nice view towards the bay. It was simple, well appointed with a small kitchenette, small bar fridge and microwave. Our family member really liked the room and we felt good they were staying there in such a nice place. It was reasonably priced and I thought it good value for money. But the staff were always very friendly each time we visited. I thought it was located well on the main street (entry on side road - Richmond Street) and there were plenty of good restaurants and cafes around that were not too far to walk to.

Great customer service, the rooms were well designed and a good size. They had all the modern features you’d need and like for a trip. Bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Main reason for the review is the customer service, I’ve stayed at quest hotels whilst traveling a fair amount. Hands down one of the best by far. The staff went out of there way to make my stay as comfortable and easy as possible. Would recommend 5 stars.

Very nice accommodation in central Petone, just off Jackson Street. Nice roomy studios that are comfy and well fitted out. Very friendly reception staff and good value for your dollars. This was our 4th stay and we will be back again next year. Definitely recommended

I’m a fairy frequent visitor here and wanted to call out the great customer service. For some reason I hadn’t been booked a car park space this time but one had been kept for me just in case. On a previous trip with a ginormous hire car they even parked the car for me! (Some of the spaces are a bit tight). Clean, friendly and in a great location for either Jackson Street or the seafront.

As returning guests we just love the very friendly and helpful staff. The housekeeping is meticulous and our room has everything we could need , including a spectacular harbour view. The location is perfect with shops, cafes and restaurants right on your doorstep.
