Great location & fab gardens,hotel inside is dated & needs a make over,our room was basic,bed comfy,black mould on bathroom mastic & cracked tiles in shower area,stained tiles in ceiling area,patio doors to outside,but on opening in the morning,was greeted by a white transit van right outside doors & the wedding planners for the next wedding going back & forth,so couldn’t even have the curtains open,great full English breakfast options,but food had clearly been kept warm for quite a while,no plates,no tea bags,had to ask,tables hadn’t been cleared of dirty plates,glasses,mugs,etc & no staff to be seen,so had to clear our own table,staff all looked miserable & when they did appear,not one of them spoke to us!

Dieses Hotel hat meine Erwartungen an ein englisches Landhotel erfüllt. Die Aussenanlagen schön und mit Liebe zum Detail gestaltet. Das Hotel ist sehr ruhig gelegen und trotzdem fussläufig zum Ortskern mit einiges Restaurants und kleinen Läden. Die Liebe zum detail setzte sich leider nichtvim innern fort. Sehr angenehm fand ich jedoch Die kleine Bar im Innenbereich zum entspannen nach einen Arbeitstag. Das Frühstück war so, wie man es in England erwartet. Ich würde wieder hier übernachten.

This is such a good value hotel with good facilities and an outstanding restaurant. The food was amazing and presented with style. The rooms very clean and a good size with good bathroom facilities. The staff are super friendly and helpful.

A late booking at staying in this hotel. The area's peaceful and a very large venue. The grounds are very attractive with different sections around garden areas. The bedroom was a goodsize but abit to modern for us as a couple. The bathroom didn't offer us much privacy, but it was a goodsize area also. But its a bit of a goldfish bowl . The bedroom had a kettle and tea , coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits, which we turned on and used around the corner when one of us wanted to use the toilet, or turn the other way with lights out in bathroom area. We would stay here again, but would be more prepared for the bathroom. Breakfast had a good variety, with a choice of a continental breakfast aswell as a fry up. The price of the hotel stay is reasonable for the area. Friendly staff.

Don't let their website photos deceive you. The bed was caved inwards, with the smallest pillows, and the hardest mattress. With my partner being pregnant we booked this hotel to have an enjoyable experience, this is not what we had. The reception service was the worst I've had at a hotel, waiting for 20 minutes to speak to someone, having to go and search, and still find nobody. The room was dirty, with broken items in the bathroom, mould on the ceiling, blood on the bed sheets and rust in the bath. I have recently been in contact for a refund, I rang multiple times, with no response to my request (probably hoping this would go away). When I finally had a response, I was told it would all be sorted, this was in march, it is now May, and I still have no refund. For £120 a night I expect a lot more from a hotel, I don't expect the world, but I expect a clean hygienic room, with good service to spend the night, especially with a pregnant partner.

When I checked in the girl was lovely, I had to phone reception on the first night of my stay as a massive bug was found under my pillow but staff came to help me get rid of it which I really appreciated. Then in the 2nd day I found a spider on my bed and when I phoned reception to come and help it had disappeared. I left a note for the cleaner to get rid of it and came back to my room with a note saying they'd found it (thanks Rachael!) and so I slept much better knowing they'd gotten rid of it (severe phobia of bugs). The food was lovely and the lunch provided had quite a bit of variety even for a fussy eater like me. The only thing bringing the rating down is there were many times I'd go to the bar during the day and in the evening and no one would be there to serve and I'd be standing sometimes for nearly 10 minutes waiting. On whole I enjoyed the stay.

Room was very outdated, no USB charging slots and a bit small. Bed decent, shower good apart from one of the lights being out in the bathroom. TV was plain awful. Brekky OK. Kind of like a 1980's Travelodge. It looks like it should have had an update sometime back but missed it for some reason.

Came here for the wellness day event. Quite possibly the most ridiculous set up for food/drinks. We waited 25 minutes in the queue to order food. How can they not be set up on a Sunday and staffed enough to serve. Absolutely ridiculous, wouldn't come back.
