We got an excellent deal for this hotel which made it perfect for us to attend a course nearby and also visit family. Breakfast was perfectly good both meat and veggie/vegan and the pastries and cereals buffet. (Coffee ☹️) Place is lovely location and the grounds and spa are really good too. Staff are smashing and always polite and friendly. The restaurant is Italian, but the pizza base we had was like it had been frozen or was just overcooked, but not fresh. The starter and sides were perfectly good. So it's fine if you arrive late and can't be bothered to go out again. We would be gutted though if we'd paid the full price as the hotel itself has seen better days and will never be the charming dilapidated stately home as too much updating has been done, it just needs some TLC around the edges.

Stayed for one night & had a comfortable stay. I do prefer a king-size bed, & the room size was definitely big enough for one - but maybe a personal choice. Loved the breakfast & spa facilities. Spent an hour, after a long drive & sight-seeing, swimming & relaxing in the steam room & whirlpool. Some of the decor is a little tired & my main gripe was that the curtains in our room would not close fully (room 18). Looked like they may have been like that for some time too. Reported to reception on departure so hope they get fixed for future guests.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Friendly staff, beautiful building and great spa facilities. Restaurant was nice but expensive and portions were a little nouveau cuisine. Main draw back was the small bed. I think only 5ft wide and very high! No towel rail was slightly annoying. Good vegan choice for breakfast. Coffee not that great. Couple of discarded beer cans outside our window could do with being tidied up.

Excellent secluded setting charming rooms lovely restaurant and excellent spa facilities. This was bought as an engagement present and it did not disappoint. I had the steak in the dining room which was lush. All the staff were super friendly. The hotel was clean. Great stay.

We had two nights here in November and really enjoyed our stay, the room 38 was spacious and had a very comfortable large bed. We ate in the restaurant twice and were thrilled with the quality and presentation of the food on each occasion. My fillet steak was sublime. The hotel grounds are beautiful and we liked the full size snooker table which we played a few times and this brought back memories of my school days. The spa was a nice addition which we also used and there was no additional charge for this. We travel to Bangor a few times a year as our daughter competes there in weightlifting and usually stay in an awful travel lodge/premier inn. This hotel wasn’t much more money wise to stay in and it surpassed our expectations. We will return.

We had a 3 night stay at the end of October 2024 and just wanted to say that the hotel is a really beautiful place set in lovely grounds. It is our second visit this year as we love Anglesey and this hotel is perfectly situated for seeing the Island. We had a lovely, spacious and comfortable room with a great view over the hotel grounds. Breakfast is the best that we have experienced and also the breakfast room is so nice. The staff are absolutely lovely and so friendly and helpful and we only had one issue which was the restaurant for evening meals. We did give it a go on our previous stay but looked at the prices this time and it is extremely expensive; a chicken breast main was £24.00! I am sure that if you knock the restaurant prices down, considerably, you will fill it. The facilities are second to none although we didn't use the swimming pool and gym we did have a look for maybe next time and they are superb. We would definitely recommend a stay here and we will certainly return if the hotel will have us :).

Very dirty and nothing was done about it, management say they are too busy to speak to you about it leaving you with members of staff that cant do anything more than apologize. They are still "investigating" our complaints by the sounds of it as we have heard nothing back for over 2 weeks. Drain in bath was blocked with hair and dirt which, their fix was to just pull it to the side a little bit so the water could drain which solved absolutely nothing. Fan provided was covered in filth so was not usable, replacement was also dirty. Sleeping under cobwebs. Spare pillows were covered in dust in the wardrobe. The free wifi is a public network completely unprotected so its not usable unless you want to run the risk of your sensitive data being accessed/stolen. Basic hygiene just ignored.

Stayed here a few weeks ago for three nights but only just got round to writing a review..However, we, as a couple had a wonderful stay. In particular the owners sister in law who was most charming and helpful. She chatted to most of the guests at breakfast and couldn't do enough for you. My partner loved the spa (not my thing) He said the pool was good enough for a decent swim and it was spotlessly clean. The food in the restaurant was really good so we ate there all three evenings. In particular the curry and the cheesy garlic bread (pizza base pretty much)as a shared starter was delicious. It was Pay as you go, but not a problem at all. We met the owner who happened to be in the bar after dinner. He was very chatty and bought us a drink, which was very nice of him and explained a lot about the area and the wonderful places to visit including fabulous beaches, which we wouldn't have found without his direction. He took on the place recently and a lot to do to smarten up the place but it made no difference to our overall stay! Many thanks and we would come again

The walk from the Car park wasn’t good as it was so dark. Check in was the best thing about this hotel as the girl almost walked us to the room. I think this was due to how complex the route was to the room. The room had chunks out the wall where I would guess the door had been forced open. Although the room was relatively clean the was a lot of cobwebs. Breakfast wasn’t the best but I suppose adequate. Phone signal and interned is bad. The worse thing about the stay was when we went to reception to checkout finding a note to checkout at the spar reception. The was no way I was going to drag my bags all the way back there. If we had been told this at checkin we would have headed there as it was actually nearer to the room. I put the keys behind the desk and left.
