The Savoy Hotel

room is very clean, staff were helpful. They don't have a carpark, you use the Q-park across street above Dunnes, and pay at a special rate of 12/per 24 hour at reception when check out.

Amazing stay at the executive room. Great service from the staff and room is clean. Very near restaurants too.

I had a wonderful time at the Savoy Limerick, I stayed in an 8th floor room with stunning view of the Shannon. The rooms were stylish and comfortable, and the breakfasts out of this world - I particularly enjoyed the Californian Benedict!! Recommend!!!

I arrived in Limerick early - around noon. This was the first leg of my road trip of Ireland. On the off-chance, went up to the delightful receptionist to ask if there was any way I could get early check in or store my suitcase somewhere. With a nod and a smile she responded "no problem - your room is ready now and we have upgraded you to a lovely room". I mean, win-win at this point. Was offered help with luggage but declined - though offer still a nice touch. Went up to the room and it was simply amazing. As a regular solo-traveller, I am all to often chucked into the tiniest rooms. This was fit for a king. I couldn't believe my luck. I felt like a celebrity! Don't know what I did to deserve this - maybe just pot luck?! Parked the car across the road above Dunnes (you get discounted parking there). Came back and just had to thank the receptionist for the lovely room. She was an absolute delight to talk to - ever so friendly. Was shown the bar (I needed a drink as the roads in Lim are mental, like!). The room was exactly like the pictures. Super clean, smell gorgeous, well decorated, modern but elegant. Lovely toiletries. Nespresso coffee maker. Plenty of free drinking water. Corridors and the rest of the hotel equally immaculate and smell beautiful. The Savoy, for me at least, ticks every box and gets things right. A classy, elegant hotel but not snotty and exclusive. It's tricky to strike that balance. I like somewhere nice to stay whilst not being looked down upon. Great location too - slap bang in the middle of town - lots of shops and attractions nearby. Thank You Savoy and your staff. It helped make my Irish road trip an unforgettable, enjoyable memory. So much so, I am doing it again next year and will see you again soon!

We are just back from a fantastic stay in the savoy hotel. We just about managed to come home as we were so happy in the savoy. We had a gorgeous meal in the Hamptons restaurant on Saturday evening arranged by the ever so helpful Sarah and her team. The meal was delicious and the service fantastic. We have already made plans to come back for a meal in November. The 3 course set meal is excellent and outstanding value. Sarah was so helpful and accommodating and I had mentioned it was our wedding anniversary , we had a small baby and needed sleep. She ensured we were upgraded so we had a quiet floor and so well looked after with complimentary treats in our room. We have stayed in a few 5 star places for previous anniversaries and this is the only place that went above and beyond: Thanks you so much Sarah for adding to our wonderful stay. The cocktails in both the Hamptons and the bar were gorgeous with an extensive menu. We were delighted with the music on site on the bar on Saturday night and the breakfast on Sunday morning was top tier. We had to go home to baby so we never got to use the pool , hoping to be back soon to use more of the facilities.

We recently stayed in The Savoy for a graduation ceremony celebration and everything was spot on from check-in to check-out. We had a meal booked in their adjoining restaurant next door, The Hamptons, which was fab and very busy, so booking is advised. We continued the family celebration back in the bar of The Savoy before retiring to bed for the night. Breakfast in the morning was delicious with a wide variety of breakfast dishes on offer with a great choice of hot and cold drinks. The Full Irish was freshly cooked to order and fab!

Definitely not a 5-star hotel by a long shot! The reception staff were ok but hardly informed us of anything relevant. When we later called to ask what the spa opening times were, they couldn't tell us (probably because the spa desk was unstaffed...). The spa itself has a mildewy little steam room, the pool is tiny (literally five metres long), the jacuzzi was turned off...then we asked for more water and the housekeeping person arrived 20 minutes later only with 1 bottle when we asked for 3, after asking for more, she parted only with 1 more bottle. The bathroom was full of mold and mildew and smelling like that. Definitely not a 5-star!

Beautiful hotel, we really enjoyed our stay. We had access to the executive lounge with our reservation , it was lovely to relax and enjoy a coffee and treats after a day out seeing the sights of the city. The breakfast was excellent and dinner in the restaurant was equally as good.

Do not let them put you into room 213. It was very small, window was beside a rooftop bar area, so couldn't open the curtains. Showeroom was big and empty with the smallest shower in which I hit my elbow constantly off the handle in it. There was random round table stuck outside the bathroom without a chair and you could not properly pull the chair out to sit at the desk as it banged into the bed. Any 5 star hotel I have stayed in before would have a bath as well as a shower and also the room would be much Biggar, very disappointing.
