Delfinia Hotel & Bungalows
"We generally liked this hotel a lot, but there were a few things that bothered us. We were in a bungalow that. The room was spacious but had 2 twin beds that were in build in frames, so no way to coner the bedding into a king or queen (not a problem, just FYI). The room had a big deck, very nice place to sit, catch some sun, dry bathing suits, etc. The bathroom was okay except the shower door was broken and looked like it had been broken for a long time. My other issue with the room is that it did not have a tea kettle and the front desk could furnish us with one. The beach is sandy up to the waterline and then it turns pebbly (big pebbles). You definitely need water shoes to get in and out of the water, but its a lovely spot with sun beds and beverage service from the beach bar. The pool area is nice too except, the resort charges 2 Euro per day for a towel. At every other place we stayed we were able to use pool towels for free. The hotel is within walking distance of Molyvos. However, we took a taxi in to town twice for dinner as we didn't want to be walking on the road after dark. So I would have given this hotel 5 stars except for the shower door (which should have been repaired long ago), no tea kettle and the pool towel issue."

"Leider war unser Aufenthalt alles andere als positiv. Mir fallen folgende Probleme ein: Wir baten um Handtücher für zwei Tage, uns wurde aber immer wieder gesagt, dass keine verfügbar seien. Schließlich kauften wir welche in der Stadt. Die Zimmer sind zwar schön und modern gestaltet, aber der Schein trügt. Es gibt nicht genug Platz, um einen Koffer für fünf Tage auszupacken, es gibt keine Schubladen, und das gesamte Badezimmer hat nur einen einzigen Haken (einen einzigen!). Die Reinigungskräfte füllten die Toilettenartikel nur die Hälfte der Zeit auf, und das Bett war schlecht gemacht. Beim Einchecken wirkte der Mann unglücklich, und beim Auschecken fragte die Dame nicht einmal nach, ob es während des Aufenthalts Probleme gegeben hatte oder ob wir Feedback geben wollten. Die größte Enttäuschung war das Frühstück: Am ersten Tag wimmelte es von Fliegen auf dem Essen, weshalb wir uns beschwerten. Am zweiten Tag kamen wir um 8:40 Uhr zum Frühstück, und fast jeder Tisch war mit schmutzigen Tellern und Tassen bedeckt. Es schien nur ein Mann beim Frühstück zu sein, der offensichtlich nicht alles alleine schaffen konnte. Zwar tauchten zeitweise andere Mitarbeiter auf, aber diese schienen nicht fest angestellt zu sein. Der Kaffee wurde aus einem großen Behälter serviert, wie man es von billigen Konferenzen kennt. Ich habe schon in 3-Sterne-Hotels mit richtigen Kaffeemaschinen übernachtet. Das „warme“ Essen war oft kalt. Insgesamt wirkt das Hotel stark unterbesetzt und das Management dringend verbessert!"

"Dies war ein sehr freundliches Hotel, das sich immer besonders viel Mühe gab, wenn man Hilfe oder Rat brauchte. Wir hatten das Gefühl, dieses Hotel und diese Insel seien wie Griechenland vor 30 Jahren! Der Charme übertraf unsere Erwartungen. Der Strand gleich die Straße runter vom Hotel war sehr ruhig und das Meer so warm und klar. (Suchen Sie sich einfach Ihren Platz zwischen dem Seegras, das war kein Problem.) Wir haben bereits gebucht, nächstes Jahr wiederzukommen, können es kaum erwarten."

"It is located in the center, on the seaside. After you get there with the ferry it is very is to find. You can enjoy the view of the harbour from the balcony. Breakfast was good. You can have it also in the balcony of breakfast room watching the ships and people going by. We spent a weekend in Lesvos. We rent a car in the center and traveled to the north side. We were happy that we choosed hotel Lesvion. We would stay there again."

"We always stay one night in the hotel because it's close to the airport. The rooms are clean and there are good boxprings to sleep on. The staff is very helpful specially Rania at the desk. The restaurant serves great food and is not expensive."

"The hotel Sappho was the only hotel willing to accept a booking for one night. That gives it a good rating for a start. It is right on the beach alongside bars and restaurants. So we knew it could be lively around even at the very beginning of the season. The hotel was quiet but very clean and welcoming. the room, with sea view balcony, was fine for us but I can understand if you are used to modern over-priced hotels you might find this hotel reminiscent of a decade or so ago. The shower is small, typical of the era when the hotel was built but everything functioned and we had a good night's sleep. The owners/managers were welcoming and helpful offering breakfast if required even though they were still not fully open. I appreciated that they would help travellers who needed a room for one night. I liked the place and the experience of staying there in the middle of the lively day and night beach front scene of great bars and great restaurants."

"First, I would like to thank the bartenders Natalia, Andreas and Mike, and the manager Nektarios for making our stay so special. I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Everything was perfectly clean from the rooms to the common areas. The food was excellent, fresh and tasty every day. Both the swimming pool and the sea were very clean and pleasant for swimming. The drinks at the bar were also outstanding and well prepared."

"The rooms are beautiful, the bathrooms look good, renovated (except for the sanitary ware), the location is special. The beach is gorgeous, large, fine sand, very sparsely populated, the entrance to the sea is extremely gentle, the water is clean, clear, there are no waves. The only negative aspect is the restaurant. I find it unacceptable that a restaurant located on the seashore does not have fish on the menu. They served fish once a week. We had half board. There is a difference (both in quantity and quality) between the same dish served at lunch, when we paid, and served at dinner, on the half board account (although the price of dinner was included in the accommodation price, it's not like we didn't pay for it!). Breakfast was identical every morning, but we managed. On the other hand, many compliments for Magda, who serves breakfast and lunch and who is fantastic!"

"My friend and I stayed here mid September. Lots of positives and a couple of negatives. First negative, on arrival at about 11pm, our room had a double bed rather than the two singles I had booked. The receptionist seemed quite put out about our request for this to be rectified and said she had waited for our arrival an hour past her shift, despite the fact we were on time. This did see to colour her attitude to us. The bed got converted into two singles the next day by the helpful cleaners after the older lady on reception told the receptionist it could be done. Anyway, had a lovely room which was one of the newly renovated ones. It was very clean and modern whilst the rest of the hotel still had that wonderful authentic Greek style. It is quite isolated though and the nearest decent beach is a 15 walk away (turn right as you leave) opposite a hotel complex and we used their beach sun beds for free and bought lunch and drinks. We used the hotel mini bus to go into Molyvos to use the beach there a few times, not great beaches (take your water shoes for most of the beaches) and we got a taxi to the beach at Anoxos and the little train back. Caught the 10.10 minibus to Molyvos and the 2.30 one back otherwise it’s 7.30 return which just doesn’t work. A taxi is 8 euro. We went into Molyvos for 6/7 evenings and had wonderful meals there at a different taverna every time. Molyvos is just wonderful, unspoilt, uncommercialised, Greece as you want it if you love Greece. We only ate one evening meal at the hotel and it was awful, poor communication about no rice left and then cold roast vegetables which were not actually roasted, was a stew with indistinguishable veggies. On telling the waiter the food was cold he commendably got it heated but it tasted awful. Another waitress asked how our meal was and so I told her, this prompted the chef to come out who said ‘no one died’. I wasn’t sure if this was his idea of humour, don’t think so, but his attitude was poor. Had a great Greek salad there one lunchtime and breakfast was ok, plentiful."

Disappointed from the difference in reality and pictures ( wrong expectations) Nothing organized as activity, only the poolside and without a car is difficult to go around. I had a car, drove miles , but not thing too exiting . The weather was perfect , 25-28c in early October, nearby villages to visit and explore. "

"Yet another fantastic stay at our favourite Greek accommodation. From the moment we arrived until the lovely send off we were treated to great hospitality, lovely food and relaxed vibes with likeminded visitors from the UK, Holland and Greece. The breakfast is buffet style with a variety of snacks available at lunchtime with all your Greek favourites available in the evening. The maids do a fantastic job cleaning the rooms plus towels and sheets are changed regularly. The location is ideal if you like walking as it’s a short stroll into the village through the olive groves. Thanks again for a great stay."

"A lovely small hotel in Petra old town. The room was very cozy and clean. The owner is a lovely lady. We had breakfast included which was amazing. Bread, eggs, fresh orange juice and lots of pasteries each morning. Only a few minutes walk to the beach and the shops/bars/restaurants. As we had to leave early we got some breakfast to take with us I really can recommend a stay here, you won't be disappointed."
