"It really is a characterful hotel with a lovely central garden area. It is in a central position with very helpful staff. The beds are very comfortable and the bathrooms spacious. For me the downside was having no kettle but a minor point for some people. There is an ironing board and a hair drier."

"This guest houses has been lovely from start to finish, the ladies and gentleman here are so helpful, nothing is too much trouble. The sheets are immaculately clean in the rooms and really soft, you get more than one pillow! The bathrooms are kept very clean also. The pool is beautiful. The kitchen is great for cooking meals! Just remember you’ll need spices, oil etc but all the utensils and pans are there for you to use. The walk into town is a lot in the heat but we managed just fine! We also booked a volcano tour and had the best time. Thank you so much "

"Honestly, Hotel Austria was such a top tier stay. The location is really top notch for location. It’s steps away from the Main Plaza in Leon and pretty much most of the things you’d need to walk to. Refrigerators weren’t automatically in the rooms, but you can rent a refrigerator for an extremely reasonable price. Mine was under $5USD for the entire time I was there. The courtyard and the rooms have a nice secluded oasis feel given that it’s so close to city center and it was pleasing to come back to after all the tours, nightlife, or exploring. The breakfast included was made to order. There were options like the traditional America, Pancakes, and some other things, but I went with #4 The Nicaraguan because that’s where we’re at and it was amazing every time. It came with coffee (about two cups worth) and orange juice. Safety was on point. They have a guard in the front all day/night and they can also help you get a taxi as well. I have no complaints and highly recommend this hotel for anyone coming to Leon."
