"Arrived to be told our room had been upgraded so we had the luxury of a huge four poster bed and lovely balcony. Fantastic start followed up, after a perfect night’s sleep, by a fabulous breakfast. This hotel has the friendliest owners and staff who make you feel so welcome. Hotel location is lovely, just a street away from the promenade and a lovely walk to the town and ferry. It has its own private car park too. We would certainly recommend the Woodhouse Hotel to anyone thinking of a trip to Largs."

She is incredibly friendly and welcoming, making you feel like a regular guest from the first "hello." It is clear she works tirelessly to ensure every guest is well looked after; nothing is too much trouble for her. The lodge itself is maintained to an impeccable standard of cleanliness—everything was absolutely spotless. The location is perfect for exploring Largs, but the real showstopper is the wonderful view across the water to the Isle of Cumbrae. Waking up to that sight was the highlight of our trip. If you are looking for a warm, comfortable, and beautifully situated place to stay in Ayrshire, look no further. We can’t wait to return!"

"Ich habe kürzlich im Voraus für einen Nachtaufenthalt in diesem Hotel gebucht und bezahlt. Ich reiste mit meinem Sohn, der einen lokalen Sportwettbewerb besuchte. Am Tag der Reise hatte BA bedeutende Systemprobleme und alle Flüge wurden verzögert. Ich habe zweimal den Besitzer kontaktiert, um sie informiert zu halten und nachdem wir endlich eine Flugzeit von BA erhalten haben, erklärte ich, wir würden um etwa zwei Stunden verzögert, ankommen bei ca 9/9.30pm. Ihre Antwort war sofort, unsere Unterkunft zu stornieren, indem sie ihre Bedingungen und Bedingungen und die Tatsache, dass wir nicht bis zur ursprünglichen geschätzten Ankunftszeit gehalten hatten. Ich fragte, ob sie flexibel sein könnte, da dies völlig über unsere Kontrolle hinaus war. Sie verweigerte. Daher hatte ich den Stres, versucht zu buchen alternative letzte Minute Unterkunft zu beträchtlichen zusätzlichen Kosten. Schlimmer noch, obwohl der Eigentümer die Unterkunft war, die die Unterkunft zu stornieren, hat sie unsere volle Zahlung gehalten und jede Art von Erstattung verweigert. Der tiefe Mangel an Achtung für uns, ihre zahlenden Gäste, zieht mir ziemlich weg. Nur wie schwierig wäre es einfach gewesen, die Vordertür bei 9.30pm anstatt 7:00 Uhr zu öffnen und uns den Schlüssel zu unserem Zimmer zu geben? Schlimmer noch, dann ist es kompetent schändlich, die Unterkunftsgebühr vollständig zu halten, wenn absolut keine Dienstleistung erbracht wurde, und wir wurden in beträchtliche Schwierigkeiten und Stress spät in der Nacht nach einer langen Reise und aus keinen guten Gründen. Ich denke nicht, dass ich mehr sagen muss. eine wirklich schreckliche Erfahrung."
