Hôtel du Tramway

Don't be put off by the location or facade. Very welcoming staff. Very clean and quiet. Secure parking was offered at the rear for 3 euros. Comfy large bed. We walked up the steps to the cathedral . Lovely area with shops and restaurants. Also a lovely view for miles... No hesitation to return here.

Mislead by the high rating into thinking this would be something quite special. It really isn't. The reception girl told me it's busiest during the week as a business stopover and I can see it working for that but I suspect most people checking this review will be looking at it as a stopover from Eurotunnel down South and it won't be making the repeat list for me. The pros - the woman at reception was lovely and as helpful as she could be. Dogs accepted (necessary for us). Cheap (3 euros) secure parking - and not in tight underground space. Close to a couple of good restaurants for dinner. (Particularly recommend Zorn Cote Bistro) Cons for me - the tiniest tiniest bathroom we've ever had in a hotel. It was the same miniscule area as a student accommodation ensuite and barely bigger than a ferry ensuite with no proper shower. The hotel cost is cheap but not that cheap - similar to Days Inn or Travelodge and I'd expect better bathrooms for that; cheap on toiletries/drinks tray - 1 coffee sachet, 1 tea bag, 1 cream per person so one drink's your limit (we'd already asked for more as originally we only had 1 between us) and paper cups, not real ones. Reception doesn't open til 4 on the dot. Not a place we'll be returning to.

Half way back from the Alps to home. Decided to try somewhere other than the normal chain Kyriad. Very friendly and helpful check in - secure parking (extra €3). Close to station - several restaurants and bars close by. Very quiet, dog friendly, and nice aircon.

We chose this hotel from the reviews and it did not disappoint. We were warmly welcomed on arrival and recieved the same warmth and friendliness throughout our three day stay. The rooms were exceptionally clean and comfortable. There was plenty of choice with the buffet continental breakfast and everything was always very fresh. We were lucky enough to park behind the hotel in their gated carpark. There are plenty of bars and restaurants nearby to save your travelling up to the old town.

Hôtel sympa et propre, personnel très sympa, chambre propre avec possibilité de faire un thé, j'ai adoré la déco ainsi que la moquette imitation parquet, petit déjeuner copieux, nous y reviendrons avec plaisir pour continuer à visiter la région.

Séjour professionnel de 2 jours. Hôtel bien situé à côté de la gare, calme, chambre confortable et propre. Réceptionniste souriante et très aimable. Bon petit déjeûner et varié. Expérience à renouveler
