Premier Inn Lancaster

The staff are fabulous and friendly but overall this hotel is looking a bit 'tired'. It's easy to find, and the bed was as comfy as usual . Just not my favourite branch of Premier Inn. The biggest complaint is the room temperature. Whatever we tried, we could not cool the room down. Couldn't sleep with the window open as it was too noisy and also blowing a hooley!

You - generally - know what you're getting with a Premier Inn. Aside from the purple lights and ZERO frills, they're usually clean, the water pressure is always anaemic, but the bed's usually super comfortable. All of that was here. This place though, came with no air conditioning like it's still 1970. So, you're sleeping in a stuffy, over-silent room. If that's your thing, maybe it's a perfect place, but I personally hated it and won't be returning. It didn't help that we got here quite late and were hungry and the vending machine was broke.

I stopped at this hotel the other day. On checking in were were told that the lift was broken which was no problem as we were able to handle the stairs ( the lift was fixed very shortly after we arrived) and asked if we could handle the stairs. I said we could but he could carry our bag up (I was joking) to our room. However, Bill the receptionist even though he was told I was joking would not let my wife carry her bags to the room. He was a proper old fashioned gentleman. It is a pity there are not more like around he could not do enough for us.

Room was clean and bed was very comfy, had a really nice chat with mhairi at reception. She made everything super easy and gave me good recommendations on where to eat around town. Will definitely choose this place again on my next business trip to Lancaster.

I always enjoy staying at a Premier Inn, this one in particular has the friendliest staff and the most welcoming atmosphere. I was greeted by a lady called Mairi on reception who ensured I felt comfortable and was on hand for anything I need. Brilliant breakfast, clean and tidy and I had a great nights sleep. I’ll be back!

The staff were great! Lovely and friendly, very helpful when needed. Room was lovely and clean, had everything we needed apart from aircon!!! I believe on our first day it was lovely weather (around 26°c) but my god it showed for it in the room it was like a sweatbox!! None of us had much sleep (including 10 month old baby). The second day wasn't any better. My husband ended up sleeping on the single bed near the window to try keep cooler but again we had barely any sleep.(ended up having to close the window for the road noise waking baby up) The staff did what they could to help by providing fans but they did not help at all.

We selected the Premier Plus room. It was clean and comfortable, the air conditioning was very welcome on a hot day. The staff were friendly and helpful.However, the general outside areas were neglected and dirty. The corridors were not very clean. The Beefeater restaurant was a disaster for food. Closed early every night, we had a disabled family member with us and planned on dinner at the hotel for the 3 nights we were there. One night it closed at 7 and we could not get any food. Any food we had during our stay was poor quality , I felt sorry for the staff, who were very nice. I would not return to this hotel.

Absolutely first class, service, cleanliness, food, staff, check in facilities, car parking so easy and plenty of spaces, restaurant so comfortable and excellent food

Hotel was ok, massive negative is that the brewers fair next door has early closing times we arrived late Friday night 9.30 wanted to grab a drink and was told it was shut at 10pm very disappointing as we had drove for 6hrs
