Golden Arrow Motel

If you like having 1 1/4" beetles crawling on you at night then feel free to stay here. When I first walked into the room there were a lot of small dead beetles on the floor. Not a big deal. However once I got under the covers and turned off the lights a whole different kind of beetle, much larger, started crawling on me. I have since been informed that these were stag horn beetles and they were all over the bed, the pillows, the floor, the bathroom. I immediately went to the night manager and told him I could not stay there. I checked out and stayed at the Holiday Inn down the road. The next day I called the motel to ask for a refund. I was told by the day manager, a woman, that she'd only partly refund my money because they'd still have to pay someone to make up the room. Fine I said. But then I added that she needed to do something about that issue because I didn't want anyone else to go through that. She blew it off like it I was making it all up and said that the owners don't care. I then told her I had pictures and video of it and that I'm not making it up. She then accused me of trying to extort them and then hung up on me. I've stayed quite literally at almost 100 hotels and motels all over the world, never had anything like this. As it turns out they never refunded anything so i had the CC company dispute the charges. They agreed and I got a full refund.
