Imperial Swan Hotel and Suites Lakeland

Booked 2 rooms at this hotel even though it was over priced. Showed up to check in and they said they had no rooms. Even after showing them our confirmation number they said you will have to contact your credit card company to cancel the charge (they already took our money). Go somewhere else. Time to demolish this one and start over!

Never make a reservation with this hotel. I booked a room three days in advance at 8:00 at night. I realized I had booked the wrong area, so when I went to cancel it it said I have to cancel before 7:00 p.m. I don't know how that would be possible. So you cannot contact them, they never never answer. Their chat people finally got them a day later and the manager said he would not waive the $90 cancellation fee. Plus the hotel appears to be very nasty from the other reviews. Glad I didn't have to go there

The hotel looks like it’s not been taken care of. There is NO ROOM SERVICE. There was used soap and shampoo bottles left in our room. And this is the SECOND room we went to. The first had one bed and I have four others with me. And the room had no ac preset. When we walked in the hotel, the hotel in general had a horrid stench and there was only two people working, that didn’t even speak English. And it was very humid and hot. This place looked like a barn, it was very dirty. I was charged for a service fee. THEY CHARGE MONEY TO CLEAN THE ROOMS. I am NEVER coming back.

This hotel was disgusting! It looked decent for the price but the pictures make it look better than what it truly is. We showed up and received an attitude when I questioned something. Already off to bat we had issues. We got the room and it was a mess. Hair on an opened bar of soap, unclean sheets, smell of mold and mildew, burnt holes in the comforter, light fixtures hanging off the wall...the pool looked like something out of a horror movie.. the list goes on. ******* graciously moved us and we are now very much happy with where they sent us but I am completely disgusted and feel like I need to take a bath in bleach. Will not recommend this hotel to ANYONE. I also busted my shin off an overhanging piece of metal. Thankfully I'm up to date on tetanus shots. Gross!

The Imerial Swan hotel was used as a respite by myself & 4 others due to hurricane Idalia. We were totally disgusted by almost everything about this hotel. I cannot stress enuf the unclean conditions that we dealt with. Some of the rooms were worse than others. Mine was probably the least offensive. My friends rooms had no hot water, no lite bulbs, non working tv, moldy bathtub, leaking toilet, debris on floors, multiple bugs (dead). The check in process was atrocious. U r not allowed 2 check n one minute before 4pm. Consequently there is a long line since everyone is trying 2 do so at the same time with one check in person on one extremely slow computer. We waited n line for apprx 2-2.5 hrs. There is no pool that looks anything like the picture shown. This hotel is quite run down & unkempt & should not be used by anyone. They should pay people 2 stay there. I could go on & on but u get the point.

The worst hotel I stay in my life. This is a garbage can. This hotel smell bad, it’s dirty, noisy a/c. I do not recommend to my enemy. I’m scare to be contagious from the floor, bathroom or bed. Believe me this is a piece of ………..it. Dirty hotel , dirty hotel

I will start at check in, there is a hidden fee that was said that Hotwire did not collect, cash preferred. The king size bed looks like a swayback horse with a big dent from the million encounters. The comforter had a big tear in it. The sofa was very DIRTY. if you can get pass all that GOOD LUCK!

I had to give it one dot because I couldn't give it zero. The place was a dive. To sum it up in a few words, it was skeevy, dark-poor lighting, air conditioner leaked and sprayed water, so the carpet was wet, the bed was from the seventies. I wouldn't put my bare feet on the carpet. The couch gave me nightmares. The TV was not even cable, local channels only. I wouldn't trust the security of the wifi. I could keep going but you get the drift. I wouldn't let a homeless person stay there for free. It was gross. We couldn't pack and get out of there fast enough after staying one night because we had no choice.

This is meant to be a warning to anyone who considers staying at this hotel. I walked in the hotel on Monday, February 7, 2022, at 530p. I checked into room number 406 a room with two double beds. The price was $90.25 for the night. I did not go upstairs when I checked in but left with daughter instead to go shopping and to get something to eat. I came back at 830a to go upstairs. The elevator had bugs in the lights and had not been cleaned at all. The elevator doors opened to see the ice machine askew and trash on the floors and a garbage bag sitting on top of the trash can. There was a plunger in the hallway and the ac return vent had a half an inch of dirt on it. The room had the light fixture taken off the wall, but the metal box still there. The room smelled, there were bugs flying around. There was a large hole in the wall near the ac unit. There was a moldy leak above the window and about two feet from that was the ceiling texture falling. I checked under the mattress for bed bugs and there is a large hole in the box springs and trash on the box springs. The bathroom faucet would not shut off, it continually ran. There was mold around the sink and the corners. There was something on the wall between the mirror and the corner that was so disgusting I do not want to even think about. The mirror frame is coming apart from the moisture. The bathtub was peeling, had not been cleaned, and there was a hair in it. I went downstairs to check out and someone was checking in so I had to wait. There were two employees a young girl and an older woman. The older woman asked if she could help me. I told her I needed to check out. She asked why and I did not want to upset the person checking in I simply said that there was a hair in tub for one and multiple other things. The other person asked what, but I was trying to be courteous and simply said multiple, multiple things while shaking my head no. I could not get a receipt because the ac system was leaking, and they could not turn on any electric to the printer and was told I would be contacted by the manager. Never happened. I called on Wednesday, February 8th to be told that I was there 4 hours and had even ordered a to go order to be delivered to my room. There was not going to be any kind of refund. I will be filing complaints with the health department, better business bureaus and the State of Florida Department of Business Regulation. I have pictures of each of these things. This was by far the nasty hotel I had ever seen.
