Only two pillows in room for a king and minor cosmetic problems

Not a very nice place. Run down. Room smelled very musty. Loud A/C, the sound of water running through it. Construction and workers all around.

Traveling back home some friends and I decided to stay here. For the night. Front desk person I believe his name was Mike, very friendly extremely helpful. It all seems nice and quiet. Place is pretty full. Now here comes the reason why only 3 stars. Some guy starts banging and cussing hollering. Bangs on the windows to this one room The staff was great when they was alerted to the problem. I'm not sure how long this gentleman was banging on the door but he was banging on other people's doors as well. He kept saying he was Jesus Christ. Police came. They tried knocking at least once but no answer. I can't say I blame the lady because I wouldn't have either especially when they knocked and did not announce their selves. The lady in the room goes down to talk to the police went back up with 2 officers then they came back downstairs. The person was removed and everyone starts leaving so I go back inside. After a few minutes I was talking to my friends and we agree one of us should go check and make sure she was ok. I've never seen anyone so broken in my life. I seen her apologizing to people and overheard her explain what happened. So I go up to her and she started breaking down even more. She gave me the short version of what happened. Told me he was a friend of her friend that's staying in same room. He started to get a little loud so they told him to leave. She said idk what I'm going to do, I've got to start packing because I know I'm gonna be thrown out on the streets. This is what I get for being too nice. I deserve this. I talked to her a few more minutes to make sure she was ok then went back to my room. Friend came back in a few minutes ago saying he went to peek to make sure the guy didn't come back and seen her standing outside smoking crying some more. Y'all this lady was scared to death over this ordeal. Now earlier in the day I heard the workers talking in their language. And yes I can understand every word and speak it pretty decntly. And WOW the older gentleman white hair was just nasty. He was making comments about her and some of the other females that was downright derogatory. I'm planning on contacting corporate as well. I didn't want to contact until closer to check out time because I didn't want retribution against me my friends or others. And yes this is an account I use that for when I need to stay somewhat anonymous. I've also seen alot of other reviews some good some I was shocked. But here's this I'm asking everyone to get ahold of corporate here or even Google leave reviews etc etc. Corporate needs to help this lady out and either out her up in the room for awhile or cover her stay at a different hotel if need be. I'm asking y'all as well to I'm going to try and see about raising money up to help her out and put her in another hotel because I can see her on the streets when check out time hits. Well hotel in under renovation, few new rooms are ready to stay, i got a chance to stay in new room its amazing new flooring, furniture, beds, paint new bathroom. Over all it was a whole new exprience then last time. Will surely visit again.

Thanks for a good on a daily basis I’ve never felt so much like I’m home here at the red roof inn. Thank you so much It’s always been a good stay whenever I get to the hotel much friendly staff and the hotel is under renovation and doing some good job on new room. I wish I had some pictures to share for new room but you can find new room picture in google.

just booked yesterday and it is the worst experience... if you read their reply for last year review they keep saying they have new management... it is not true, the place is nightmare, the comforter have holes, bad smell for toilet... filthy place

My stay at this Red Roof was problem free. Check in and out we’re easy, though they do charge a $50 deposit when you check in. The deposit was credited back the next morning, though it took the average 5 day wait for it to show up in my account. Room was clean and the internet worked well.

While travelling over a 6 week period we stayed at 6 different Red Roof Inns throughout the USA. We choose Red Roofs based on the fact that dogs were free and pricing. Although the Red Roof Inn in Lafayette was under renovation, it was still the BEST one we had stayed at. All of the staff was extremely friendly, from the people at the front desk, to housekeeping, even the contractors. They couldn’t do enough for you. If they saw you outside they would ask if you wanted or needed anything. Everyone was apologetic for the mess that the renovations were causing.I think they were near the end as we did not find it bad at all. When we asked for recommendations they always lead us to great tours. I would like to commend the owners/managers on how well the exterior grounds are kept. This was the first hotel that we stayed at that we were able to go out with the dog and not worry about stepping in poop. Just because at pet stays for free it does not mean that people should not pick up after their dogs. Thank you to everyone at the Red Roof Inn Lafayette Great job
