La Posta Vecchia Hotel

We loved everything about La Posta Vecchia - stunning location, beautiful venue, amazing food, wonderful spa services and great staff. If you are looking for a relaxing vacation and you'd like to be pampered, this is the place for you. A big plus: the hotel is dog friendly and our Mela was treated like a queen. We will certainly go back!

Incredible food and service in a beautiful hotel which is just 40 minutes from Rome airport. Although most guests seem to be only there for a few days (on the way home) the ambiance and service is that of a first class hotel which expects its guests to be there for weeks. We can't wait to return, as it is the perfect way to end a trip to Italy.

We visited this hotel last minute as we had enough of the hustle and bustle of Rome! We also stayed in their other two sister hotels and thought to complete the trio. I must say the service feels like you are at home. What wonderful staff who really looked after us. Thank you. The hotel grounds are beautiful and the room we were in was stunning. Only 30 minutes from Rome airport too. There is also a museum in the hotel which has remains of an ancient Roman villa. Can’t wait to go back. Very special place.

La Posta Vecchia is one of those very special places that you rarely stumble upon during a lifetime of travel. It is now a very special hotel with a limited number of rooms and is associated with the Leading Hotels of the World brand. We stayed at this absolutely special place in late September when the weather was perfect. The setting right on the Tyrrhenian Sea is extraordinary and has been a vacation destination since the time of the romans. La Posta Vecchia was originally built in the 17th century and updated by J. Paul Getty in the 60s when it served as his personal home. It unlike any place we have ever stayed, and the extraordinary staff, food and easy access to central Italy made it one of the most relaxing destinations ever. We did day trips through Italy but were always ready to return for a swim and such wonderful food that we never wanted to dine elsewhere. incredibly special place.

Difficult to rate a hotel like LPV given there are very few comparables - the property is historic in every sense so you need to manage your expectations on modernity (the rooms do feel like ur staying in a castle!), the staff are generally warm, and location is 40 minutes or so from Rome’s airport. I think overall the value proposition was okay.

Fantastic property. In some areas a bit of renovation would help the overall feeling but still an excellent property. The restaurant has a great ambiance especially the evening dinner. Food and service was also very good.
