Baymont by Wyndham Houston la Porte

I loved my relaxing stay. I’m a freelancer and stay at hotels regularly! I had the best sleep ever! The beds to me are very comfortable , however, the bathroom could use a bit of remodeling.

Property run down, room not properly serviced before arrival (no tissues or drinking cups). Room phone non-working. No breakfast except coffee (room was advertised / booked as including breakfast). Staff was friendly, but not especially helpful.

Too many issues to list, front desk personnel, door lock on hotel room broke, AC loud as hell, just not a good place in my opinion. Outside of hotel was in bad shape. I would not stay at this location ever again.

Racism was the main issue beside the filty rooms and theft from other people stayong and the STAFF and there was no resolution the manager Chad witnessed it all and said all complaints will go to him so it doesn't matter if I go to corporate!!!

As Wyndham member this hotel was one of the worst places I ever stayed before. The first experience was with the front desk. I called to confirm that I was arriving after midnight and the lady assured that will inform the night auditor. When I arrived at 12:30am, I had to show the night auditor how to find my reservation because he was not even trained properly in how to use the system after 6 months working. Then we found that the reservation was marked as NO SHOW because he closed the night. He called his front office manager to get assistance in giving me and my family a room as we had a reservation, and hi was very unprofessional during the phone conversation and treating this poor guy like he was crap. He just told him that I had to make a new reservation and trying to assist me was not a reason to bother him. 1:30am with 3 kids crying after 4 hours trip from Austin, I ended making a new reservation. I almost had to check myself in because this guy had no idea how to check-in a member who paid with points and I had to train him step by step. When I asked about his MyPortal training, he had no idea what I was talking about. Then, when we finally got into the room, it smells like was never cleaned, the room and building looks like has no maintenance since 1960. The restroom was stained with blood, the bed like if someone else was sleeping there few minutes before us… just a disaster. We ended sleeping in the car with the kids.

False advertising….It was nothing like the photos we saw online, the room was DIRTY. When we opened our room it smelled like cigarettes really bad…and the sheets on the bed had so much what looked like arm or leg hair all over the bed. It really grossed us out. Very noisy at night. The toilet had DRIED UP URINE ALL OVER IT. PLEASE DONT BOOK HERE

Place needs extensive renovations. Encountered broken / defective items in my room. This place advertised a free continental breakfast however no breakfast was offered. The only thing available was coffee. Even the juice machine was out of order.

Very Nasty, Poor service, no breakfast, pool not available . Representative took 1 hour 20 minutes just to make to desk for check in. Toilet stopped up. Bed sheets made us itch as if they had dust mice. Tub had hair had to call again for clean up. Pool not accessible or available

Although the official site promised a pool and breakfast, none are offered. Old, dingy, feels dirty. But staff were nice although seemed powerless to do anything about the what was promised. Internet and tv did not work well either.
