Super 8 by Wyndham LaGrande

Man this place is the worst! Mold mold mold! See pictures! You would be better off sleeping in your car! There really is no redeeming qualities at this business. Old worn dated! Just a few of the adjectives to use! From the get go it is the worst! Don’t forget waiting in line for the one old worn out toaster to hopefully toast your bread! Come on you can buy a good toaster for $20! Really stay a place else…..

We only stayed one night on a road trip East. I thought that their breakfast was more than expected after seeing reviews. My whole family found something. The rugs in the hallways looked a little dirty but overall the rooms were clean, quiet and comfortable. I loved having 3 queen beds for my family of 5.

Checked in on 8/3/2024 for a wedding at the White Barn Estate in La Grande. The wedding is at 3 (which is check in time) and there were many people attending weddings locally that were requesting early check in to be able to get ready. The staff worked really hard to ensure rooms were ready for everyone a little early. The front desk gal even gave me an upgrade to a king suite as a thank you for being supportive. This is how customer service works. Will recommend and will stay again.

The pillows are small and seem to be about half the size of normal pillows. The ac you n my room did not work. It has been near 100 for weeks and I find it hard to believe no one has said anything. When I called all they said was they were sorry. When I asked about a fan I was told they did not have any. Find another place to stay or drive to Union.

We got in late and so my children were not able to get to go swimming. I told them wait till the morning and once we went to go swimming it was locked. This is the most disappointed I've ever seen my children. It seems like it wasn't opened all day and no explanation as to why. I wonder if the chemicals were even checked today. It's probably better it was locked at least I know they weren't upkeeping and at least my children are safe.

This site needs some major updating. They have no diabetic friendly options for diabetics on there very small breakfast. I ended up having to pay for breakfast somewhere else. Wasn't worth the price i paid for a hotel. The beds are old and worn out. Not comfortable at all. The room was dirty and looked like it hadnt been vacuumed at all.

I was extremely disappointed in the cleanliness of the entire building, especially the hallways and the rooms. The maintenance was horrible. Our guestroom floor was extremely insufficiently vacuumed, and the furniture in our room had food and grime slopped all over it

This place was terrible! Filthy carpet and unfriendly staff. Room was serviceable but not very clean. No elevator and way overpriced for the conditions. I really wish I could list some redeeming qualities, but there weren't any. The bathroom had some mold in the corner.

We had no choice but to stay in La Grande due to weather conditions and the roads being closed. We also wanted to use our Wyndham points so we picked the Super 8. The check in process was smooth, the woman at the desk was helpful regarding restaurant options, and our room was comfortable and clean. Beware there is no elevator if you are on the second floor. We didn't mind as the exercise was much needed! Everything in our room worked as it should. Overall, the Super 8 was a good spot to spend the night while we waited for the roads to clear. Later, realizing I had left a new sweater there, I called back and both the front desk person and the manager were super understanding and kindly agreed to go to UPS to mail me my forgotten sweater. Note that the town is small but has good options for dining. We will probably go back and spend a bit more time checking it out further.
