Jiqing Hotel (Kunming Green Lake)

Die Schalldämmung ist sehr schlecht. Man hört deutlich, wie sich die Leute nebenan unterhalten, und daneben ist es sehr stinkend. Der Müllwagen beginnt um fünf oder sechs Uhr morgens und stinkend.

The best choice for any traveller. Here's why: 1. Best value price as we stayed for 9 days. 2. Walking distance to Cuihu Lake, Shopping Districts, Cafe districts around Yunnan University, Metro, Zoo, Yuantong Temple, Wen Miao, Kunming Old Street and etc 3. Via the metro Huashan Metro take one stop to Wuyi station exchange to Line 3 last station Kunming Eastern Bus Station, you can board a bus direct to the famed Rock Forest. Take the same Huashan Metro stop at Yuhu Station you will exit to the high end area with open park shopping district 1903 Park which also housed a large Huawei centre and big Pop Mart shop. This place is also very close to the Xi Shan hills 4. Just down the hotel you can find many many hot favourite local eateries without needing to go far. All the food we tried has been delicious. 5. If you fall sick, the pharmacy is just next door literally. 6. Other interesting surprises like Eraser Book store, oldest and first Cafe in Kun Ming - Natural Song Cafe (1923), the famed round building for photography, Yunnan public library, the multi concept Baili Chun Qiu building, Apple-owned Store and many others - all within walking distance. 7. Hotel services by the staff is nothing short of wonderful. Clean room, daily cleaning and replenishing of towels etc, working amneties and your items are safe inside the room even if you go out for whole day without locking inside the luggage. Best choice and value in Kunming. Highly recommended. Thank you hotel staff for making our holiday a memorable one.

Hotel is good. Clean and quite new. No coffee machine, nothing for their customers at the lobby. We asked for cups to have tea, we were told to go buy our own. Other than that it's quite a good hotel to stay in for the price.

Loved it, price is good for the service you get. The location is great in Kunming, plenty of restaurants on the street, would recommend it to any business travelerr

The location of the hotel was not easy to find unless you are familiar with the place. Transportation would not send you to the door step and you need to navigate yourself to the hotel unless you requested for pick up from the station. The staff was friendly and helpful when I requested them to send me to the train station. Plenty of BBQ stalls and other local foods around the areas. The room where I stayed was clean and the shower was good with hot water during this time of the year. I am satisfied with my stay in this hotel

One odd thing about this hotel is that it is not named Jiqing Hotel, but instead it is named EverLuck Hotel. As a result I passed by it two - three times before realizing that this was my place to stay. Secondly, the area itself may be not pretty or elegant as it is on a small busy street full of little shops and late night barbecues surrounded by old local neighborhood buildings, but the location is excellent as it is right in the middle of all the major downtown Kunming areas to visit. As such this is why I chose it despite its 2 star status. The lower score rating is because the cleaning is not so good (the floor was dusty when I checked in) and the amenities are rather subpar, such as thin toilet paper and a need to scan a QR code to access the wifi. However the staff were friendly, the bed was comfortable, it was freshened up daily, and it suited my needs.
