Hotel Klea

The first thing to say is that the castle contains a small town, with hotels, restaurants, monuments and sights. It’s gorgeous to explore day and evening so it is a great choice to stay up here. It is steep, with cobbled streets so not suitable for those with mobility issues. This hotel was excellent. We loved the traditional design inside and out and the delicious and varied breakfast. The staff really made it for us though. So helpful and kind. We loved it, thank you.

Spent a couple of nights here, fantastic location, very friendly and helpful host and lovely local food. Staying within that castle was truly memorable and we had lovely sunsets. The terrace is a great place to spend the evening Don’t hesitate to stay here

Kseno is a host with the most! Very informative, helpful, generous and witty. We ate here late one night and could have been turned away but instead were made to feel incredibly welcome…so we came back the following day too! The hotel itself was clean and the food was great. Highly recommend!

If you got service like this everywhere, the world would be a better place. The staff were fantastic and very attentive of our every need. We arrived late and very lost and Kseno drove down to meet us in the town to guide us to the entrance of the hotel in the walls of the castle. His service was exceptional and nothing was too much trouble. His mother was also wonderful and the food was amazing, we had breakfast each morning and dinner one night. All of the food was tasty and plenty of it. The rooms were clean and comfortable and I could not rave about this hotel more, highly recommended.

Lovely guest house in Berat Castle. Very charming, helpful and friendly owners who were also happy to make recommendations and book taxis etc (for example they booked a taxi to Nurellari vineyards, and recommended reliable operators for other activities), very clean, comfortable and good food. We had a delicious lunch and breakfast was exceptional, must try their 'nougat ice cream' ..Wonderful terrace for dining on when weather allows. Only 4 (?) rooms in the main house and possible 2 in an annexe. Do be aware the 4 rooms are close together, so guests do need to be resonsible in terms of noise levels. Great stay and books up very quickly, thoroughly recommend !

10-13/jun Belonging to a family, my wife and I felt very well taken care of during our 3-day stay in june 2022. Being inside of the Berat Castle was very calm peaceful. Their rooms have an average size and are very comfortable. Breakfast is very good, with their homemade jams (reçeli). The restaurant is open for non-guests, and we had an amazing lamb and very fresh salad for dinner. Mother cooks, father brews the wine, son makes the ice cream dessert. Amazing, isn't it? Free parking in front of the hotel. No minifridge or TV. We could pay using credit card.
