Das Hotel „The Castle“ in Albanien war mit Abstand die schlimmste Erfahrung, die ich je in einer Unterkunft gemacht habe. Zunächst gab es über mehrere Tage hinweg kein Wasser, weder zum Duschen noch zum Händewaschen. Das ist inakzeptabel und ein absolutes No-Go, besonders bei den heißen Temperaturen. Ein Frühstücksbuffet, wie es in der Buchung angegeben war, existierte schlichtweg nicht. Die Krönung des Ganzen war jedoch das Verhalten der Hotelbesitzer. Als wir einmal später ins Hotel zurückkamen, wurden wir angeschrien, warum wir so spät seien. Doch damit nicht genug: Die Hotelbesitzerin drohte uns sogar, die Hoteltüren abzuschließen, sodass wir nicht mehr hineinkommen würden und die Hotelbesitzerin war zudem so aggressiv, dass sie kurz davor war, mich körperlich anzugreifen. Nur ihr Sohn konnte sie zurückhalten. Solch ein Verhalten ist unvorstellbar! Als wir beim Auschecken einen Rabatt aufgrund der vielen Unannehmlichkeiten forderten, wurden wir erneut angeschrien. Die Besitzerin war so aggressiv, dass es fast schon beängstigend war. So etwas habe ich in einem Hotel noch nie erlebt! Trotz all dieser schrecklichen Erfahrungen wurde uns keinerlei Entgegenkommen gezeigt. Weder wurde der Preis reduziert noch erhielten wir eine angemessene Entschuldigung. Auf unsere Bitte nach einer zusätzlichen Decke und Stühlen für den Balkon wurde einfach nicht reagiert, diese kamen nie an. Ich rate dringend davon ab, dieses Hotel zu buchen. Es war eine absolute Katastrophe, und ich werde nie wieder einen Fuß in „The Castle“ setzen. Die Kellner vor Ort waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

My husband and I stayed here during the month of July for 4 nights. Had the perfect coastal break in an ideal location with beautiful weather and super helpful hotel staff. Probably the best nights sleep we’ve had during our entire stay in Albania - the beds were extremely comfortable. The breakfast was varied and fresh and on our last night, we tried the dinner menu which was delicious. The hotel staff - Kristi, Julian, Adi and Marilena and of course everyone else - were attentive and kind. Nothing was too much trouble for them! They all really made our stay enjoyable. The cleanliness and presentation were definitely a highlight. We would absolutely recommend to future visitors to Ksamil!

SSebastianEn cuanto al hotel, nada que decir, super buenas instalaciones. Lo malo es que la noche que llegamos, llegamos pasado el horario del check in (por retraso de nuestro vuelo), y pese a haber avisado con tiempo la situación, no nos querían dar una solución. Fue hasta que llegamos e insistimos un poco que al final nos enviaron a un ”apart hotel” muy cerca y ellos asumieron el costo. Entendemos que a esa hora el sistema no les permitía entregarnos nuestra habitación, pero habiendo avisado con 4 horas de anticipación, creo que podrían haber hecho algo más para ayudarnos, en fin, no se vio tanta colaboración y ganas de ayudar por parte del hotel. Fuera de eso, fue una buena estancia.
