This is a brand spanking new hotel. After a long day’s drive we were greeted by a very nice man. He warned us their cardless key system had been sketchy, no worries, we decided to trust technology. The door to the room looked like it has been forced open at one point, but no biggie we figured a glitch. He was right the cardless system did not work so he gave us a cardkey. The room had not been cleaned. So back down to the desk where he gave us a different room. Ahhh, a clean room and comfy bed to fall into and off to dreamland I went. Then my husband discovered the A/C diid not work. No power to the thermostat unit. Kindly, he did not wake me and we sweated thru the night. The shower in this brand new hotel had cracked tiles, missing grout and the hot/cold tap was reversed. In the stairwell the handrails were bare wood with some spackling in the corners. This hotel charged full price Hilton Honors points, but was not ready to be open. I did contact Hilton and they passed me off to the local management … crickets.
