The room is very clean and comfortable. The breakfast is really nice!!! The service is super good! This cottage is so lovely!!!

很漂亮的小別墅，我預訂的單人間，房間雖然小，住一晚也足夠了。 2樓的客廳很英倫，喜歡。 早餐中規中矩是傳統英式早餐，一大堆根本吃不完。 房東Lucy很和藹可親，唯一不足的是暖氣間斷供暖，晚上睡覺比較冷，我把羽絨服啥也蓋在被子上才暖和點，可能是床離窗子太近了，是真冷。 另外，衞生間的電熱毛巾架也是間斷供熱的 離鎮中心有點點距離，另外我房間還殘留上個住客的垃圾，真環保。總體來説還是不錯

The Edwardene is such an amazing place with first class hospitality. We came for a quiet weekend break and that is exactly what we got. The hotel is only 5 mins away from the town, but the street and surrounding area is so quiet. Parking on the street is almost impossible, however there is a long stay car park less than 10 mins walk, so it’s not an issue. Lucy and her son were amazing hosts and the breakfast was amazing with so much choice. We highly recommend The Edwardene and we will definitely be returning. Thank you. 😎

Stayed for two nights whilst visiting Keswick. Though dropping bags early, we received a warm welcome and a quick show around. Our room was warm and cosy with perhaps the softest bed I’ve ever slept in - it was a little too tempting to sink into a slumber after a long walk! Toiletries etc. were of nice quality, adding that little extra touch of customer focus. Breakfasts were amazing, perfectly cooked to order and a great selection.

Lovely bed and breakfast with comfortable tasteful decor. Our room was small but adequate, good bed. Common area with snacks for purchase. Generous selections and good quantities for breakfast. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Good location. Would stay again.

A beautiful B&B with lots of character and many positives: central location, clean, beautiful character-ful house, delicious breakfast, friendly waiter at breakfast, facilities in room, and warm shower with toilletries. However a few drawbacks: - Like many B&Bs the sound insulation is poor meaning you'll be woken up by the first person who decides to get up and turn on the tap/shower. - The owner was very grumpy when I arrived. Check-in is until 7pm so I notified them that I would arrive late due to work and was told my keys would be left in the porch. On arrival at 8.45pm the front door was closed so I had to ring the bell. The lady who opened the door was visibly unhappy and despite apologising again for arriving late was just passed the keys with a stern face and told me to close the door behind me before she disappeared. It wasn't the warmest of welcomes. - Room cleaning: I left my room at 11.30am whilst cleaning was ongoing and came back to it having not been cleaned - it seems you have to be out earlier or it will not be cleaned at all. If you book you'll have a lovely and fine stay in a beautiful house. I however probably won't return due mainly to the unfriendly welcome and poor sound insulation.

Loved my welcome, my room was so pretty! Not JUST pretty, but comfy, quiet, perfectly set out - an attic room with a view. Just needed to watch my positioning when close to the window. Cleaner than any recent stay! EXCELLENT food, service & setting, smiles included. Would love to stay here again 🥰👌

Just returned from an excellent 2 night stay at Edwardene which is highly commended . A friendly helpful greeting on arrival from owner Lucy with a quick 5min overview of the basics . Lovely clean fresh room - BRAMBLE , and the breakfast was superb - eggs benedict with asparagus . Breakfast service from Mathew was quick friendly and professional - ALL ROUND EXCELLENT GUEST HOUSE .

Everything was good apart from nobody enquired if we slept well, if the room was comfortable or any polite ‘small talk’ apart from when we arrived and the taking of our breakfast orders. Perhaps there was some domestic crisis as on morning one the person in charge was very clinical. The guy on morning two seemed far more relaxed and friendly. Morning three we turned up for breakfast at the allotted time and nobody appeared. We then noticed a sign on the door saying breakfast for that day was from 08:45 instead of 08:00. No advance notice , explanation why or ‘sorry’. We returned 40 minutes later to have our orders taken by a pleasant person with a noticeable of scent of having just smoked a cigarette. On checking out we were asked didn’t we receive the email sent about the change in breakfast time. No. Don’t think we were the only guests who were not made aware in advance of the change. Appeared the owner was away and the place was left with no body in charge on site the previous night, hence envelopes left in the entrance for people to self-check in. Wonder what would have happened if there had been a problem? Not quite what we were expecting. However on the plus side breakfasts were good. Room was clean, and the gentleman who had to bus in to sort breakfast was an amicable chap.
