Hampton Inn Keokuk

5 stars is not enough. This hotel provided us with the best experience for our entire 10 day trip in 8 hotels. We encountered fabulous staff at the front desk - Tanyeka - as well as the morning breakfast area person - Sarah. Thankyou Tankeka and Sarah! We encountered a difficult reservation situation and Tanyeka was amazing. They both were friendly, kind, and helpful beyond what would be required. Fresh cookies and orange infused ice water at the front desk was very welcoming.

The hotel is nicely updated, clean, and comfortable. (Though the faucet was oddly oversized for the sink, so it's hard to wash one's face without splashing all over the place; otherwise, nice use of small spaces.) Unfortunately, the pool was closed for repairs during our stay, but the fitness center was open. It's a good option if you need to stay in the area for some reason; the neighborhood around the hotel doesn't have much to offer; the selection of restaurants has gotten very slim.

Thank you to the entire team at Hampton Inn Keokuk! After long miles, this stay was welcoming & very comfortable! We asked about availability and the staff was informative and helpful! We traveled with our greyhound and truly appreciate hotels that welcome our fur family, even if it is extra $. Comfortable stay and everything we needed! Great staff & breakfast was great! Big thank you for that breakfast!

My room was clean the staff was amazing had a few questions when it came to the charges on my card but they cleared it up for me right away very nice hotel and I would for sure stay again and I'll look forward to it!

We usually prefer to stay with Hampton when traveling as a family, as we have been happy with the experience most of the time. Though most things were as expected, there were several things with this experience that left a bad impression, which is unfortunate. We booked two rooms during our stay, and while everything was great with one room, the second room had a major ant infestation in it, requiring my husband and son to switch to a new room the next day. The staff was helpful and made the transition smooth, which we were grateful for. Their second room had issues with water temperature (no hot water for the shower) which was looked at but not fixed during our stay. One of my most frustrating issues was being charged on our credit card for items from the snack area which we DID NOT PURCHASE. We always bring our own food and snacks with us, and did not get any food at the hotel besides the complimentary breakfast. I have called three separate times to the hotel to discuss these charges (my guess is that the previous guests in the room my husband and son were moved to got these items, but they were charged to our card??!!), and have been told that a refund would be made, but there has not been a refund given. It is so disappointing to have this kind of experience, and I am hoping that management will see this review and finally make it right.

Great Hotel, very clean rooms! the staff is awesome. Beds were comfortable clean and the rooms were quiet. I came in for a memorial and a lot of our group were staying and everybody talked about how nice the hotel staff was and they helped and answered questions.

It was February 27 through March 1, 2023, and sorry to say nothing was fixed! I had no hot water and were told to use the pool shower. Nothing like going down three stories at 5:00 A.M. to take a shower in a community shower. Of course, they don’t open until 7:00 A.M. and I am stuck with a cold wash rag bath! I requested to be moved to another room on the floor but was told they were having similar issues. Needless to say, this not what I am used to when staying in a Hilton Hotel. Poor management.

The hotel was clean, comfortable and offered some nice feature in the rooms like: refrigerator, microwave, permanent luggage stand and hooks on the wall for your coats (which I hadn't seen in other hotels). Updated decor, staff was very helpful and customer focused, and breakfast was perfect. It offered a good variety: omelets, bacon and biscuits and gravy, cereal, so excited they offered skim milk, waffle maker with an option of pumpkin spice waffes, oatmeal with a variety of toppings, yogurts, fruit, etc We will be back the next time we visit our hometown.

Very comfortable clean hotel. They were doing some outside maintenance (painting) so parking was limited but still plenty. They let us know before booking so we were not surprised. Morning hot breakfast was plentiful and fresh. We enjoyed our time there.
