Chapelhill Croft ★★★

"Chapelhill Croft ist nur 5 Meilen von Keith entfernt, ist dieses wee-Gem von einem B & B, das von Eileen und Paul geführt wird. Als wir Eileen und Paul ankamen, waren sie auf der Türsteige mit einem warmen Willkommen und dem Angebot aus Tee oder Kaffee nach einer langen Reise. Einmal in unser schönes, anschließendes Schlafzimmer. Sie schlossen uns für einen wee bluter, liebte dort Gesellschaft und wie sie sich in guten Schottland niedergelassen. Unser Frühstück war fantastisch und Eileen ging sogar zu den Längen, um mich zu Hause gemacht glutenfreie Granola, die ich mit ihren frischen Früchten aus ihrem Garten zusammen mit frischen Eiern aus ihren Hühnern genossen hatte.. Liebe meine schönen Spaziergänge nach dem Frühstück. Ich würde nicht zögern, Eileen und Paul's B n B Wir haben vielleicht als Gäste angekommen, aber hinterließen das Gefühl, wir sagten Hallo zu Freunden. Danke für unser Wochenende speziell.. x"

Hillhead Hideaways ★★★

"we are just back from an amazing relaxing weekend at hill head hideaways, me and my wife stayed here for 2 nights and couldn't of loved it any more, the communication from the hosts was brilliant, everything in the pods were very well thought of and the welcome pack of food/drink was very nice touch, we added the BBQ pack to our stay and making use of the cool BBQ hut we had a really tasty meal! we spent a lot of time in the Hot tub also which was very relaxing looking out to the brilliant view! we have re booked for may and can't wait to return! couldn't reccomend this place enough for a rural break away!"

The Tannochbrae of Speyside ★★★★

"I brought my first whisky group to the Tannochbrae in 2024 (see my review here) and this last summer, July of 2026, I brought two groups back to Scotland on whisky tours and we stayed at the Tannochbrae both times. It is a highlight of my whisky trips and something none of my members want to give up for future trips. The house is quite beautiful, full of antiques and art and is very homey and personal. We were a group of 8 and we could have had two more people and still been very comfortable.There is a large kitchen with all kinds of conveniences, and a grill outside with a picnic table. You can use the laundry facilities, hang clothes outside or on racks, or dry in the dryer. There is a dedicated laundry room with a sink and ironing board and space to fold. There is a toilet room downstairs so you don't have to run up to your room to use the toilet when using the downstairs area. To get to the bedrooms does require some stairs. Many of  the rooms are very modern with beautiful bathrooms. I don't have much to complain about at this place, I dearly love it, but I do feel like the lights have a mind of their own. It is a smart house and you have to learn the sequence to operate the lights, and even when I am sure we have turned off the lights, my husband and I would still find them turning on in  the middle of the night if we walked in the bathroom! That is one thing I would like  to have better next time. Some of the bedrooms at the top of the house have bathrooms which are converted from closets so have contained shower stalls that are somewhat small. So if you do have a large group, be sure to assess which rooms are going to work best for each member. And along that same line, there is a large variety of bed styles so be aware of that as well. A highlight of staying here is that you can rent the private bar in the house and the owner, James, will come and pour you whisky and tell you many fun things about the house and area. James is very willing to help you make your stay as wonderful as possible. There is a Co-op grocery right next door which could not be more convenient. They are open from 7am-10pm and we were constantly in there buying things for our meals. It is so economical to stay here with a large group as you can have a nice place that is convenient and save money by fixing your own breakfast and other meals. You can walk to Balvenie and Glenfiddich from here, and so much else in Speyside is very close if you have a car and/or a bus and driver. I will say that it is hard to get around without one, as we had to give our driver a  day off and we were not able to get any kind of taxi to take us anywhere, so be prepared for that. This has nothing to do with the Tannochbrae, but if you are working on a trip to Speyside, I recommend that you have a way to get around. Aberlour, Highlander Inn, Craigellachie Bridge, Macallan, The Quaich Bar and so many other places are all an easy drive from Dufftown, and your car or bus can park in the str"
