The Coach House

Stayed here as it is close to where I study my masters and safe to say it wasn’t a nice experience. Firstly the room was freezing when I arrived as the main window was open on a rainy day. There was one bed made up and one bed stripped in the room. Wasnt particularly clean and when I came to use the kettle to make a hot drink in the morning I noticed the spoon left in the cup was dirty so I didn’t fancy a drink anymore as it’s clear they didn’t put clean cups and spoons in the room. You had to exit through a fire door which wasn’t shut when I came to it in the morning so firstly the place isn’t very secure and secondly the stairs to leave are not very safe especially after it’s been raining…

I recently stayed at The Coach House, and it was wonderful! The rooms were cozy, clean, and perfect for a relaxing getaway. While they don’t serve food, the bar offers a great selection of drinks, perfect for unwinding in the evening. The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure I had everything I needed. The location is ideal, right in the heart of Kegworth, making it easy to explore the area. For a charming and comfortable stay, I highly recommend The Coach House!

The Coach House has got to be the worse hotel in the Midlands. I stayed there for 1 week, as I was working at East Midlands Airport. The mattress couldn’t support an egg, never mind a human. The room was dirty and the shower room (very small) wasn’t fit for purpose. I was woken one evening by VERY LOUD music one evening lasting several hours( 9pm until 4pm). The music came from the top floor living accommodation, which was occupied by the owners. I left the hotel in the early hours (1 am) of the morning and slept in my office at the airport. Throughout the evening I tried contacting the manager/proprietor (Lee) by telephone /text without success. I later requested a refund for the disturbance, without success. Upon my return home , I noticed several small bites on my legs which I could only attribute to bed mites. To conclude, the hotel is not recommended.

Just want to say what a gem of a place this is for the money. Had a problem with the shower but within 10 minutes it was sorted brilliant. Old building but modern rooms so surprising and will definitely be going again ☺️☺️

First the good points... The car park was fine. The bad points.... Had to ask for a toilet roll just after arrival. The showeroom was disgusting, there was a revolting odour which I presume was the drains. The shower had no hot water, there was a notice on the wall informing how to get the hot water to flow but this only worked for the wash basin. After 10 minutes of trying to get hot or even warm water from the shower we gave up! There was mould around the shower tray and what looked like peeling paint. The matress was extremely uncomfortable so we slept on top of the duvet. We were informed that we had to exit via a very precarious metal fire escape staircase which was in my opinion very dangerous. If you are thinking of booking this place, I srtongly advise you to look elsewhere. We certainly would never stay there again. Price paid £60 for a double room. Cheap but not worth a penny of it.

First time staying here, really good value. The rooms were fairly basic but clean and comfortable. The 2nd week I was here, my room was directly above the bar which was a little bit noisy but come about 10pm I heard nothing. The car park was a little bit tight but I had no problem parking or leaving during my 3 week stay. Staff were very friendly. So overall, definitely would stay here again.

Just stayed here. What can I say. Staff so welcoming. Accommodation as described. Not disappointed. I would strongly recommend this to anyone. Bar is so full of life and a warm welcome awaits everybody.

For the price I was expecting basic and it was. The room was small, but adequate and clean. My only complaint is that that there was no way to adjust the temperature of the shower and no shower mat. Good to have nice secluded parking. Friendly, helpful lady on bar duty / reception.

The room was spacious and spotlessly clean but the springs in the mattress were poking through! It was ok for one night but not for any longer. The staff were really friendly and the room was warm and welcoming. Really handy for East Midlands airport.
