This was the absolute worst hotel experience of my life. The outside was dirty, the lobby w/ little to no a/c & humid, muggy feeling & smell in the air. We were looking forward to the pool & hot tub... well they were out of order & apparently for quite a while. The room with a king bed was absolutely small & dank. We asked to be moved to a double queen which the employee facilitated. The new room had the same dank, musty smell as the 1st. The a/c did not work properly & we were hot & uncomfortable the whole night. The hotel wifi was like that of a dial up connection & was inaccessible. I immediately cancelled our 2nd night & called the Fairfield Inn to move over there the next day. Thank goodness they had space, accommodated us, & allowed us to get in a room early the next morning around 930 w/ no extra charge. Now let's talk about the unhealthy disgusting part. I didn't use the restroom until the middle of the night & that's when I looked up & saw black mold on the ceiling... BLACK MOLD!!! Not just a small spot but a large area of the ceiling. It had been growing for a while & staff have tried to cover it up in the past by spraying wall texture over it. I have interstitial lung disease & pulmonary fibrosis causing a massively reduce breathing ability and the use of oxygen at times. So thanks for that. I had issues breathing & chest pain for the next couple of days. Then there was breakfast at 8 am. The only good things were the pitcher of ice water the waffle. The eggs/egg substitute were gross & cold, the sausage links were cold & overcooked, out of regular bagel so I asked, waited 30 minutes with nothing added, the Danish were hard, apple juice was empty, the orange juice tasted like just concentrate, the milk from the cooler was warm, & to top it off, the bowl of hard-boiled eggs was half-full with green water & a couple nasty looking eggs. It was evident that hotel staff have no pride in what they do or their work. It is evident that the management & ownership of this hotel literally do not care about providing a safe, clean, healthy, comfortable environment for people to stay. Leadership should be ashamed to say they work @ this hotel, that they represent AmericInn, & Wyndham Group Hotels. This place needs a massive deep clean, requiring behind the scenes mold removal, overhaul of breakfast service, & a re-structuring of management staff. This AmericInn has given the franchise & company a bad name. This was our 1st & last time @ AI. Robbed for $140.
