During our planned stay from 20th to 22nd October 2023 at Mascot, a booking error sent my family and me from Bangalore to Kannur on the wrong dates. Despite not having the chance to stay at Mascot, I feel compelled to share this exceptional experience. Upon realizing our rooms were booked for the 27th to 29th October instead, the Mascot staff showcased remarkable empathy and efficiency. They promptly arranged accommodations at another excellent hotel, continuously checking on our well-being. Their actions were beyond mere customer service; they restored our faith in humanity and the kindness of people. What impressed me most was the full refund of our booking amount, a gesture of goodwill that deeply touched us. This incident didn’t just resolve a logistical error; it transformed us into lifelong patrons of Mascot. Their exceptional handling of an unforeseen situation has earned the loyalty of not just my family, but also our friends.

The room was quite comfortable and good. However the cleaning wasn’t done and the towels were not changed. The larger issue was the food and the location. While the view is fabulous it is difficult to reach the city without a vehicle and you will not get an auto rickshaw unless you walk a kilometer or two. Food was all north indian and no south indian seafood in the menu. Why would i eat tandoori thingies on a beach in kerala? not thought through. Overall the tariff was expensive for the experience that the place offered.

We had an overnight stay at benale, the check in was quick as we had made an booking, helped ourselves with the luggage to the room. The room we stayed in was an ok one, however running hot water at around 11pm helped us relax after the kind of travel we've had. Beds are cosy, aircon & fan ran as expected. Okiesh bathroom with towels and some toiletries. The door nobs are a bit tricky at times. We opted for breakfast which had a decent spread of food both english & local dishes. The front desk person was helpful during check out process too making it a hassle-free one. Since this property is in the town area it's easier to just step out and visit places. Overall a good experience!
