Kaniva Midway Motel

Stayed for 3 weeks on a business trip and the host Cristina is excellent, very friendly and great service. The room is clean with decent facilities and a heater provided. The breakfast is unreal Cristina is an excellent cook. Will definitely return.

We stayed in the family suite. Great setup for 3 adults. The bathroom excellent for my elderly mother with walk in shower and support rail. Beds very comfortable and the heaters were on for our arrival. Christina is an excellent host and wonderfull cook. The big breakfast almost did my husband in it was huge but yummy.

Perfect stopover between Adelaide & and Melbourne. Basic motel, clean and comfortable. Terrific breakfast, value for money and great service from the manager Christine. Motel is centrally located within walking distance to shops, cafes and the town fauna park. Great country town.

My partner and I are in the process of moving from Victoria to South Australia with our border collie. We have stayed at this motel a few times and will book it a few more times for many reasons! The first time we stayed we were upgraded to a double motel room with an awesome courtyard and pet friendly! Our host, Chris is a really beautiful person that obviously cares about her guests, her motel and if they have pets, it’s really important to her that everyone is comfortable! Tonight when we arrived, so exhausted from this big move, the heaters were on and so so clean as always. Our border collie ran straight inside like he was home. We could not recommend this place enough, especially for travellers that have pets. It’s just so easy here! Thank you Chris for your hospitality! You are a very special person xxx

It's Day 8 of our road trip and our 8th road trip motel. What a breath of fresh air it is to enjoy an authentic country motel. Checkin and payment were easy. Yes, the room is dated but it is also priced accordingly. Plenty of bottled water provided in the room also. The absolute highlight of our visit to Kaniva was the $12 cooked breakfast served in the front dining room. Just read that again, Jan 2024 - $12 cooked meal. What a great start to the day of travels and we didn't need lunch.

We've never had such a friendly and helpful manager anywhere in our travels. Thankyou for taking a break during Christmas day to book us in and help with all our provisions. We will definitely return.
