We had the pleasure of spending just one night at this lovely property. We chose the property because of its proximity to the airport for a flight the next morning. The hotel also is well positioned for visits to the old town, modern city, and for eco-tourism if you are planning to explore both the city and countryside. For travelers who prefer to return to a nice resort amenities after a day of adventure, The Santa Maria is an ideal choice. When we arrived, there were a couple people in line before us checking in and we were approached by the affable beverage manager who offered us a warm welcome and asked if we would like any refreshments. Check-in was a smooth and friendly process and we found our room to be spotless with a very comfortable bed and nice linens. We enjoyed lunch at the restaurant by the pool as well as dinner in the main dining room, The cuisine and service were both excellent. The pool and surrounding patio area were quite large with ample chaise lounges spaced comfortably apart. We enjoyed a leisurely afternoon by the pool. The pool area would be a wonderful place to relax after a day of sightseeing. We were traveling as a couple without children but the pool area is a large plus for families with children - and the pool is large enough that energetic children can easily be kept away from adults who are enjoying a quiet read by the pool. We arrived during the Sunday brunch, which looked utterly amazing. Evidence of the resort's love for children was that Mickey and Minnie Mouse were greeting families as they arrived for brunch. The resort was an oasis of calm despite its youthful visitors so couples seeking some peace and quiet should not be deterred from visiting. Whether you are looking for a desirable hotel handy to the airport or a resort for a lengthier stay, The Santa Maria is a great choice.

It had already been a long day of travel, but I was excited to get to my room to drop off my bags and go explore Panama a little. We were only there for less than 24 hours so time was super valuable. Upon entering the hotel, it seemed a little dated, dirty, and worn. The location was extremely convenient since it was so close to the airport ($8-9 Uber black ride, $4-5 Uber X) and we would be there just to rest our head before our 9am flight. After waiting for 25 minutes for the two people in front of me to be checked in (only one desk person), I handed my passport and credit card over and I was promptly informed that I did not have a reservation. Instantly I looked on my Bonvoy app to confirm I did in fact have a reservation, but that was not enough for him. Even though I gave him the confirmation number and showed him the reservation for a two bed room. I had to go through my emails to find the confirmation email with room rate. I even checked in via the app to try to expedite the process and showed him I was now checked-in. Finally after about 30 minutes he gave me a room, while a nice line of 5 or 6 pilots and flight attendants waiting to check-in mounded behind me. I apologized to them while departing to my room, the desk guy did appear to care they were waiting. I was traveling with my elderly mother, so I just wanted to get her to the room so she could relax for a minute. After opening the door, guess what I was in a single king bed room, definitely not what I booked. I left my mom at the door so we did not have to lug our bags downstairs again. The line was not down to 4 people. Luckily they saw me and the pilots felt bad and let me jump in line. Not once did the deskman apologize for anything. He even had an attitude about it. The beds were acceptable, but not as comfortable as other Courtyards I have stayed. The room looked well worn. The hallway did not even look like it was vacuumed, food particles were on the ground! The next morning breakfast was great for a Courtyard, the only bright star for this dump. The server was extremely attentive and pleasant. The food was pretty good. Maybe the bar was set so low with the other experiences here. I should have went with my instincts and kept my original reservations that were deeper in the city. When I come back to Panama, this will definitely not be my hotel.

Wir sind am Flughafen angekommen, und ein Bus wurde von Riande Hotel zum Abholen gesendet. Es hat eine Verschiebung jede Stunde. Das Zimmer war sauber und ein schöner Geruch von Rosen. Der Pool ist riesig und warm in der Nacht. Die Bar in der Nähe des Pools war großartig, gute Getränke und ein großes Abendessen. Am nächsten Tag gingen wir mit dem Bus des Riande Hotel zum Flughafen.

Sehr schönes Stadthotel mit sehr gutem, aufmerksamen Service. Wir hatten eine sehr schöne, große Business Suite. Die Club Lounge war Pandemie bedingt noch geschlossen, dafür gab ein sehr schönes alternatives Lounge-Angebot in der Lobby Bar. Hübscher kleiner Pool mit Ausblick. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das wirklich sehr gute Frühstücksbuffet, das beste, das wir in Panama hatten. Immer wieder gerne.

Zum Frühstück hatte ich meine liebste lateinamerikanische Polenta, und abends gab es (gegen Gebühr) Snacks. Die Fahrt zum Flughafen dauerte eine Weile, aber es gab einen kostenlosen Shuttlebus für die Abholung und Rückgabe vom Flughafen . Es gab einen Außenpool im ersten Stock, was großartig war.

Wir haben hier für unsere Hauptveranstaltung für eine leichte Abholung gebucht. Diese Reise wurde um einen vollständigen Transit des Kanals geplant, der nur ein Samstag pro Monat mit nur einigen Hotels abholen Standorte angeboten wird. Wir hatten 2 Nächte in einem erweiterten Zimmer für 18,000 Punkte. Wir mussten eine freie Nacht gegeben haben. Wir gingen leicht nach El Trapiche und hatten eine interessante Panama-Fest und Getränke. Wir waren dort am 18. und verließen den 20.. Wir hatten Getränke und Essen im Hotel. Und der Service war immer gut, egal wie beschäftigt sie waren. Essen und Getränke waren gut. (Kubano im Café war großartig!) Einchecken war reibungslos und Zimmer war frühzeitig bereit. Jeder, mit dem wir uns befanden, war professionell und freundlich und hilfreich. Check out war ein wenig langsam, aber Sie sind nicht in Amerika, so war es okay. Sie können nicht alles online behandeln. Unser vorab arrangierter Transfer war rechtzeitig. Das Zimmer war sauber und gut ausgestattet. Es gab ein Bier (Wein und begrenzte Liquor) über die Straße, sowie einen allgemeinen Markt für Drogengeschäfte und ein Essen. Wir gingen nicht zum Essen. Es gab auch eine kleine Bar/Restaurant direkt hinter dem Hotel, das wir nicht erreicht haben, aber wollten. Wir gingen zu ein paar Bars und dem Café im Hotel. Alles war gut. Wir verbrachten jeden Samstag auf dem Kanal. So ein interessantes, historisches Abenteuer!

Genießen Sie unseren Aufenthalt im Aloft Panama! Das Hotel bietet einen großen Wert zum Preis. Das Hotel ist sauber und die Betten und Zimmer sind komfortabel. Die Lage war auch großartig. Das Multiplasa Mall ist in einem Spaziergang “weniger als eine Meile entfernt”. Ein Uber nach Casco Viejo war weniger als $5. Sie haben auch direkten Zugang zum Innenraum der Sheraton Grand neben der Tür, die eine 24-Stunden-Pastelria hat. Sie würde sicherlich wieder bleiben.
