Hampton Inn Joplin

No complaints. Friendly, clean rooms, nice shower that you don’t feel like you are going to slip and fall, good shower heads good breakfast slept great and I’m not an easy sleeper. Plenty of places to eat within walking distance.

Standard Hampton. It has an outside pool that is closed during winter. Restaurants walking distance. Comfortable bed. I did find it interesting that there was no closet or armoire, but a wall with hangers and hooks, no big deal but different. Basic breakfast. Overall a good stay.

Room was very quiet. Breakfast was easy accessible with table seating comfortable. Slept well in comfortable bed. Bath area in the room was well lighted. Plenty of outlets for charging and powering electronics and phones. Would stay here again.

This Hampton has the new style Wall Closet - not a fan at all. Also has a barn door for the bath room. Not a fan of those either. Very Clean, no complaints. Hospitality was working late. Somewhat rare nowadays. The bathroom mirror frame was showing its age. Extra bath towels were in the room as requested. Nice touch Breakfast is 6-9. We’re used to 6 to 9:30 or 10. Plastic bags in trash receptacles. Nice touch and very hygienic. TV with HDMI connection. VGA too. Plenty of power outlets. A/C compressor a bit noisy when it kicks on. But hey, it worked. Room was cool. Very bright bathroom. Love it! Water flow not top notch, but reasonable and the shower head had decent pattern flow. No active venting. Just passive. Bathroom fully steamed at shower completion. Mirror totally fogged. Breakfast standard Hampton hot breakfast. Sometimes you get scrambled eggs, sometimes you don’t. I’m a cereal guy and the cereal choices were limited. The biggest negative is that the room had a bit of a musty odor when we arrived. Not a pleasant welcome to Hampton. Yes, we’d stay again. The north end rooms might be a tad quieter.

Clean & well appointed. Bed wasn’t too comfortable. Couldn’t control the temperature. Couldn’t get it cooler than 75 , too hot to sleep well. Light from outside shone on the head of the bed, couldn’t cover it with curtains Nice friendly people at desk. We didn’t partake of breakfast so I can’t rate that.

As Hilton Honors Diamond members, we stay at a lot of Hamptons. We liked the hotel’s convenient location, just off the highway but quiet. Check-in and check-out were smooth, and parking was plentiful. The staff members we encountered were pleasant and efficient. The complimentary breakfast offered the usual choice of options; the breakfast room is on the small size, and no attendant was in sight the entire time we were having breakfast. Our room was clean and comfortable, although the two beds in our suite were only doubles, rather than queens as we usually find at Hamptons. There was no bedside alarm clock in our room. The bathroom was perfectly stocked with towels and toiletries. The showerhead had very good flow but had been mounted way too low on the wall. We really disliked the location of the bathroom, which opens out at the beds. Additionally, the very noisy barn-style bathroom door—only 4’ from the bed—wouldn’t slide without a lot of effort. Those doors are not a nice feature! We had stayed at this location another time in the past; I had forgotten about the weird bathroom setup, and I inadvertently booked here again. I don’t think we’ll choose this particular Hampton again in the future.
