WoodSpring Suites Johnson City

So much wrong here. The wifi is not actually free, unless you can live with slow speed on a single device. Otherwise it costs $10/week. And they double billed me for it. Then the hotel pointed to the wifi provider while the wifi provider pointed to the hotel for refund. I got nowhere with them so disputed through CC. Not what I call customer focused. The first two days featured no hot water. Not really warm enough for a shower. The rest of the days featured lukewarm water that you had to let run for 10 minutes to get lukewarm. I was told they were “working on it”. I guess they improved it because it got lukewarm. The toilet seat was all beat up with permanent brown stains. Yuck. This is a small room for a suite. Looks like a normal budget hotel room with the closet removed and “kitchenette” in that place.

We had a last minute family health emergency that we had to fly to TN for. Upon arrival we entered into the area where there was just the front desk with the associate. We were given our room number #409. We got to our room and when opening the door we were hit with an overwhelming smoke smell. The floors were all sticky and the sheets had hair all over them and a large blood stain. We immediately went back down stairs and were given another room, #124. This room was not any better. There was mold along the baseboards, rust inside and outside of the microwave, toilet broken at the base with mold, cold/luke warm shower, missing all the cupboards, stove hood full of grease and dripping, mold all along the stove edges, tv didn't work, cockroaches, 2 flat pillows etc! When staff was informed about the issues they said there were no more pillows to give out and if you stay you pay..... Why not leave you ask? Well this was a very last minute trip to see a dying parent and we could not afford to leave and book at another hotel! We called Choice Corp who owns the hotel and they told us they would refund our stay once we checked out of the hotel. It so far it has been a COMPLETE HASSLE and battle without a refund!!! We would have NEVER booked this hotel but when Googling, it showed 4 stars!!!!! What a LIE!!! Should have used Yelp! DO NOT STAY at the hotel!

Price was very high for quality of hotel. Normal price for a hotel of this quality should be about 1/3 of what we paid. No room service and must purchase soap from vending machine. Room was not properly cleaned and in poor condition. I would recommend finding another hotel if you plan on staying in this area.

It was sketchy AF. Front desk behind bulletproof glass shouldve been my first sign to walk away. But it was the only hotel in per diem for a business trip due to an event that weekend. when I got to my room the door lock mechanism was ripped off the wall. There was a gap in the door and the fram so large that I could see into the hallway. All of the cubboard doors had been ripped off as well. I felt extremely unsafe as anyone could just bust into my room if they liked. I told the front desk I had to leave and they were extremely disgruntled. When I brought up aspects of the room like the missing cubboard doors etc their response was "some people like it that way". The other people waiting to check in looked just as sketchy & I felt EXTREMELY UNSAFE!

Every since we have got there Shanda is always very helpful and she is always smiling she makes this place great. Staff is always helpful. This place is very clean so thank you guys for everything Michael G
