Hotel Isla del Sol

Spectacular!!! Best hotel in las Islas del Rosario. Whether you spend the day or stay for a few days, this is the place to go. A hige shout to Gabriel (Boat/Tour guide) Gloria (Manager), Dennis (sooo kind!!! It made our purchase and information so easy), Nando (Snorkeling instructor: AMAZING instructor!! We saw 2 sting rays, and many types of fish and he was so funny kind and patient… just the best!!) Fleura (Masseuse… wow! Very relaxing. Do not pass on this) the guy at the Bar (I wish I remembered your name! SO professional, so kind), everyone!!! You guys are amazing!!! Thank you for the best day of our stay in Cartagena. We went to the aquarium, snorkeled, swam, eat, and had the best time!! Don’t pass on anything, do everything, if possible. Thank you!!!

I would 100% recommend this hotel. The staff are absolutely incredible and make the place exceptional. The welcome watermelon popsicle was such a lovely welcome. The food was very good, generous portions, lots of options on the menu, and the staff were always happy to accommodate. The chef is excellent, focused on quality/cleanliness/hygiene, and makes terrific pancakes in the morning. The rooms are very comfortable and the shampoo/soap provided is very nice. The beach is beautiful, but you may want to bring water shoes, as there is some coral on the way in. I would also bring bug repellent because unless there is a strong breeze, the sandflies bite. I would definitely go back. Ideal for families.

We were recommended a trip to Rosario islands and were expecting beautiful beaches and an island paradise . Isla Grande is nice but not the long white sand beaches we were expecting. The hotel does a good job getting guests there early and we had read about the day trippers filling the place . Indeed,the day we arrived there were hardly any and on our second day about 50 arrived at 9.30 am and we thought it was going to be unpleasant - but even though it’s a very small area, it was still a lovely day . The room, staff and meals are all ok , the pool area is lovely but we were a little disappointed because the beach is tiny and not so pretty . Still a lovely stay but certainly not more than 1 night

Great place to stay at for a few days. Nice clean bungalows with beautiful view of the sea. Clean and cute beach with great food and drinks. The wifi was reliable and the staff was also very friendly. The hotel offers nice day trips around the island for snorkeling and diving.

A friend and I stayed here for 2 nights and loved it. We booked a boat to and from Cartagena with ease through the hotel. From the moment we got to the port, the attentive staff made sure we knew where we were going and were very well looked after - all with a language barrier (our bad, we are not good at Spanish). We were the only English speaking people on the boat out of 50 or so and the guide made a point to translate everything for us. Once we arrived, Camilo at reception was welcoming and made sure our belongings were stored safely before check in. Camilo was our resident translator during our stay and was so kind. Thank you! It's a smaller hotel and the service was very intimate, which we loved. A really nice relaxing, laid back atmosphere to get away from the chaos of the city. There's tons of activities to do, guided or not, if that's what you're in to, and they're not pushy about it. Rooms are basic but clean, the shower is great. Not a big deal, you're never in them anyway. Hammock - A+. Staff at the bar are amazing, friendly and attentive. Shout out to Marie. Honestly, all staff amazing. Now food. Breakfast is a buffet with a nice light selection - eggs, fruit, arepas. Lunch is wild with so many options, the biggest meals we had there. And by wild I mean great. Dinner also great. By all means food is good. Loved this place. Would recommend if you want a quiet relaxing night or two. Thanks Isla del Sol!

We stayed here 2 years ago, nice to be back at Isla Del Sol and to see how much they improved and updated the resort - a nice new reception. The full board meal is still outstanding and you are seated separately from the day tourists All this made our stay outstanding
