Very authentic hotel. Beautiful pool area surrounded by tropical plants. . ,decor authentic Italian , great service , good value food and very helpful staff . Central position from which to explore the island . Near to the port with lots of restaurants close by . I highly recommend this hotel

Room dated and not as per brochure. Food dire and NOT 4* standard. Breakfast consisted of rubbery scrambled eggs and cured meats with not much else to satisfy yourself on. And be careful you don’t burn yourself on the dated toaster! Dinner was even worse, canned carrots pre pack veal with gravy, Rubbery omelette and staff that are away with fairies. Definitely not if a 4star hotel

We recently returned from another unforgettable stay at Hotel La Villarosa Terme in Ischia. Once again, this enchanting hotel surpassed our expectations, reaffirming its status as our preferred Ischia accommodation. The staff at La Villarosa Terme are truly the heart of the hotel. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and professional service. They went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Whether it was the reception team, the restaurant staff, or housekeeping, everyone was attentive and always willing to assist with any request. The hotel's thermal pool was our absolute favorite spot. The mineral-rich water was incredibly soothing, and the surrounding lush greenery created a perfect escape. We especially loved that the pool was shaded by trees, making it an oasis of cool comfort on hot days. The hotel is perfectly situated to explore all that Ischia offers. We strolled through picturesque alleys, relaxed on beautiful beaches, and enjoyed the lively atmosphere of the town. Hotel La Villarosa Terme continues to be our preferred Ischia retreat. The perfect blend of quietness, comfort, and exceptional service makes it an unforgettable experience. We eagerly anticipate our next visit.

Lovely hotel, friendly staff and authentic local food. A gem right in the centre of Ischia. The rooms are tradition but in keeping with the vibe.... relax and enjoy the ambience, surroundings and private beach on the best kept secret island of Ischia

A lovely villa in the centre of Ischia Town. Our room was quaint, rather old fashioned, but in keeping with the hotel. Delightful thermal pool in a tropical garden. Lovely staff serving lunch and drinks by the pool. Dinner was on a stunning rooftop terrace with views of the sea and town. Excellent food was served each evening. Half board is a must. Excellent staff throughout the hotel. Many Thanks

The main advantage of the hotel is people: an incredibly friendly professional staff! Especially the restaurant staff is just one big wonderful family! It's just impossible not to get attached to them! )) An excellent location of the hotel, a very friendly and pleasant atmosphere. Delicious food and spacious rooms, a very interesting historical design of the hotel, wonderful pool, a nice private beach and stunning views from the restaurant terrace. Already missing the island and the hotel and looking forward to staying there again!

Firstly the staff are great so we don’t want the negatives here to impact them. Overall we were generally happy with the hotel which had a perfect location slightly up the hill from the main town but close enough to stroll in for some gelato or a drink after dinner. The decor in the rooms is dated (like 1960s) but if like us, you don’t plan to stay in them too long it’s not an issue. The issue we have in the room is the uncomfortable bed. We booked on a half board basis. Food was poor and let the place down - think nursing home food. Our advice would be save the money on half board and put it towards eating out each night. There is an abundance of nice restaurants and you can have a decent one course meal with glass of wine for less than €60 which is what they charged us for dinner at the hotel. As an example; Breakfast was buffet continental a few nice bits like fresh fruit and croissants. As for the dinner this was edible and authentic however a child could honestly cook better at home and therefore opted to eat out as we were on holiday and wanted to enjoy ourselves. The restaurant terrace was pretty but no music and no atmosphere. Food like wafer thin ham slices in mushroom sauce with carrots - followed by chocolate mouse with so much gelatine in it it was more like jelly - these are just examples. Couple more issues I hope that management look into; - there are no coffee/tea making facilities in room - a no no for Brits! - No non alcoholic drinks other than coke and Fanta for my pregnant wife. Crondino or something would have been nice. - Music in restaurant was poor random club tunes. With a very quiet atmosphere you would have been better playing traditional authentic Italian music. - You made us sit at the same table every night and we would have like the option to choose - for example perhaps a balcony seat! - The whole dinner process was a rush and lacked attentiveness such as the table situation. Everything geared to getting everyone in and out asap and we felt like cattle being fed.

Stayed here for a week beginning of July and enjoyed. Pros: - good location to access all areas of Ischia Port - staff really friendly and helpful, able to book excursions etc - breakfast fine and view from roof terrace amazing - pool area nice and the thermal water lovely (swimming cap must be worn) Cons: - we stayed in room 0, which wasn’t the best (only discovered this when I looked at other rooms online). Room needed updating, air conditioning unit out of date, wardrobe needed to be repaired, sitting area under plum trees which kept falling off making the path slippery - better rooms are in the actual villa so insist on one if available. We really did enjoy our stay and the cons are by far outweighed by the pros. There are several cats on the property so if you stay, be kind and feed them, the one near our room followed us around and was just adorable…we bought cat food at the supermarket as well as a sneaky slice of ham from breakfast! We would stay here again, mainly as the location was perfect.
