Die Lage direkt an der Bucht von Inverness ist gut, auch die Erreichbarkeit per Auto ist durch eine nahegelegene A-Straße gut. Öffentlich wird es eher schwierig. Das Hotel befindet sich im 1. OG über dem Restaurant und ist nur über eine schmale, steile Treppe zugänglich. Die Zimmer sind zwar klein und das Bad wirkt billig, aber es ist alles sauber. Das Bett ist britischen Verhältnissen entsprechend schmal, aber ansonsten bequem. Leider hatte ich sehr laute Nachbarn und man hört durch die Wände alles. Ohrenstöpsel sind daher zu empfehlen, diese stehen vor Ort aber nicht zur Verfügung! Das Restaurant ist empfehlenswert, das Essen schmeckt gut und sowohl Preise als auch Portionen sind mehr als ok. Das Frühstück hingegen ist, wenn man nichts Warmes von der Karte bestellt, sehr karg und besteht lediglich aus Toastbrot, drei Pastries, gesalzenem Butter und Marmelade.

Booked a large family meal initially for 15 people paid a deposit of £10 a head as requested. Unfortunately 5 people had to cancel made sure to let the restaurant know well in advance (5 days before booking). They said they couldn’t give deposit back which was fine, assumed they would take it off the bill as plenty of notice was given and we still had a table of 10. When it was time to pay they refused to take the 50 off the large bill that we paid as they said five people cancelled. Even though as I said we gave them plenty notice of this and we still had a large table of 10 eating. Absolute greed and disgraceful customer service.

We had a great stay at North Kessock Hotel. The room was great, the location right on the water was lovely, and the food and service in the restaurant were excellent! Best of all were Darren and his staff. Their hospitality and Darren’s personal touch made our stay very enjoyable. Thanks Darren! Ed and Jean from Kentucky

We returned for dinner having managed to stay here for 5 days previously. The range of food on offer is far wider than the typical hotel in Scotland and quality ingredients are used - they must have a good chef. There is a good range of drinks including wines. The staff are friendly and helpful. This is a great place to eat if you enjoy food that is well prepared and presented. The bonus is that it is all at a reasonable price.

We booked direct and stayed for two nights with breakfast at this hotel. On arrival we received a friendly reception and were shown to our room, which had views over the garden and water. The room was comfortable, although the desk/dressing table was a little cramped. The bed provided a good night's sleep and the shower room etc. was very well appointed. The room TV reception appeared to be limited to 2/3 channels and the washbasin plug allowed water to escape, and both items were reported. Breakfast was the usual buffet with served cooked items, and provided a good choice The hotel has no dedicated parking, but there is free on street parking in front of the hotel and a public car park a few yards away. Payment for upkeep of this car park is voluntary. Infrequent buses to Inverness leave from a bus stop outside the hotel. We felt that in value terms the costs were a little expensive, but our stay was comfortable in a convenient quiet location.

Ava greeted us as we got out of the taxi as we were there before checkin. Immediately checked on our rooms, one done other almost done so helped carry bags to the room that was done. Met Donna and Fionah cleaning our rooms and we felt we had just met 3 friends. Could not do enough for us and so engaging and just spread positivity. Had a lovely lunch outside. Best fish n chips! They arranged for Kenny to show us the sites we wanted to see the next day. Breakfast in morning was delish. Had dinner that night and again hit it out of the park, scallops were incredible and friends thoroughly enjoyed their meals. The views were amazing and nice to walk around. Bus stops right in front of hotel so getting into Inverness couldn’t be easier.

We ate at the restaurant two nights in May 2024, as our bed and breakfast host recommended it. The food was fabulous, we were lucky to see a fisherman deliver lobster and salmon, so ordered that for dinner. Delicious. The second night we ordered halibut and steak, cooked perfectly. So much better than just a pub! The manager was most engaging, happy to have two Aussies in his restaurant.

We loved our stay at the North Kessock Hotel! The owners and staff were so helpful and friendly throughout our stay. The rooms were a little bit small but overall very comfortable and cozy. We opted to stay a little outside town rather than in central Inverness, and happy we did. Lovely location with great views from the hotel and nice walks in the area. Still very convenient location with easy free parking nearby. We did eat at the restaurant one night and everyone in our group felt it was fantastic. I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone staying near Inverness and we'll stay here again.
