The Mudhouse Marayoor

What a special place. The gardens are so stunning and beautifully attended, and the back drop of the mountains was breathtaking. We felt like we were living in a painting. All the staff were delightful and friendly - the manager, Ambilly, is so lovely and full of energy. The food was exceptional. The rooms, kitchen and communal areas were all pristine and calm. This level of service and luxury, in a location this remote and beautiful, is truly magical.

Mudhouse is not just another usual resort stay. It will become your second home. The ambiance, stay, food everything is so good that you don’t feel like going back. Ambili is the best, she takes care of you like her own family. All the akkas make you feel like you are in safe hands. Special shoutout to Deepak for making it all happen in such seamless way.

The Mudhouse is such a wonderful space that we didn’t want to leave! Everything is curated with so much love and warmth that it truly feels like home. The space itself is beautifully designed with such a unique blend of ancient mud houses style with modern facilities. Every nook and cranny of the property is a treat to the eyes! The food is outstanding and more than that the way we were fed - with so much love, care and warmth - was deeply heartwarming. Shaiza guided us from day one and helped us plan the experiences in depth. Ambili managed the smallest detail of our stay with utmost sincerity. Since we consume only plant based, gluten free meals, they catered for us wholeheartedly giving us multiple options in each meal. The experiences and views in the surrounding area are one of a kind. We had rented a car from Cochi so we could drive around and really enjoyed the beauty of Marayoor and Kanthalloor. There are amazing waterfalls around, gorgeous hikes and treks, calming viewpoints and exciting drives. We can’t wait to come here again and spend longer time.
