I went there on a holiday weekend and never stayed in the room. The hotel is on Main St. so we dropped off our luggage and began to enjoy a full day. Around 8pm we came to the hotel to experience the hot tub. Everything went well until it was bed time. Around 9 o' clock, I pulled out the living room couch and the mattress had dried blood on it !! It could have been period blood ! who knows ? The Master bedroom under the mattress had a theatrical mask and a left over bottle of lubricant. Really ? Nobody changed the bed ? I took pictures and brought the hotel host to confirm. He looked embarrassed and ashamed. I immediately went to the front desk and checked out. They told me they would take off the security deposit and I would have to talk to management on after the holiday. Management finally called on Tuesday but could only give me half. It was $ 272.00 for one night. She asked me, " Could you tell me when you discovered the blood and the bedroom scene." Obviously I discovered it when it was bedtime. In other words , should I have checked the room for cleanliness of the room and bed before I accept it ? She called me back Wednesday and said that corporate only approved for half and that it was out of her hands. I reached out after I talked with people and the front desk clerk was very rude and even put himself in management position and said, " Sir , you will not get your money back. " He also said, " Go ahead and post your complaint ! '. Talking about being unprofessional ?! I was told that I should go to small claims. I am really contemplating that. Any suggestions please post your experience and recommendation.

We had not been in about 8 yrs. We were looking forward and that did not happen. The room was musty. But with AC got better. The lower part of walls near door look water damaged. We were in 313. The room needs updating. The wood floor near tub and bathroom was fine but a professional definitely did not install. Gaps in floor. We filled tub above the nozzles like instructed. We were in for about 30 minutes. When the timer went off. We got out as the water was draining. Then it turned on by itself and a spout started spurting water everywhere. We tried to turn off again. Then a few seconds later it started sorted again. I threw a towel on the spout as my husband tried to turn off again. At this point we were slipping all over the floor and took all the four very thin towels to put on floor. It sprayed out duffle bag of clothes. Our sneakers. The corner of the bed and rug. It took over an hour to dry it and us without extra towels. It went off three times with water even though it was fully drained. It still turned back on two more times but thankfully water was out of spouts. I put on bathing suit since my clothes were wet. Called desk for more towels. I had to walk to the other building to get them at front desk. She was very polite and said this never happens. Hmmm. She asked if we wanted to change rooms but my husband said no. We had all out clothes hanging around bathroom. We should changed rooms. So in morning I put on my wet sneakers and walked to front desk. I asked quietly and polite if the would reduce our rate. He was politely abrupt stating 'not that I think you are lying but we have used this room and no one complained. ' He said we were fine last night and it was us that didn't do the tub correctly. We have one at our house and know how to use it. He said maybe when housekeeper were cleaning the moved that one spout since the others did not spray out of tub. Keep in mind this spout hit the ceiling and the bathroom mirror from outside the bathroom. We were happy to leave and get to Nantucket. Don't bother staying here. Price was OK but not worth it.

The Hyannis Plaza Hotel looks kind of run-down on the outside and I was having second thoughts when I pulled up. However, my experience inside was the complete opposite. From the front desk staff to checking out was amazing. The room was clean and comfortable, the AC was nice and cold, the TV was a Smart tv, so we could watch Hulu, Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc. The beds were comfortable but could have used a couple more pillows. The bathroom is HUGE and shower was great- both in cleanliness, temp, and pressure. We didn't eat at the in-house restaurant, but it smelled amazing! Definitely don't count this hotel out when coming to the Cape, it's definitely one I would return to.

We stayed for 4 nights July 2024. The rooms were VERY clean, had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and the owners were SO friendly and accommodating! While the rooms were a bit outdated , the beds were very comfortable, the room had a mini kitchen with microwave, coffee maker and fridge and there were seating areas to relax and watch the boats across the street. Everything we needed for a great first stay in the Cape. I would stay here again as it is very close to town, walkable to lots of shops and restaurants, had a park across the street and has a nice view of the water and harbor.

My significant other and I rented a Princess Jr suite for the night for an overnight getaway. The only positive thing I can offer about this hotel is the excellent location as far as being walking distance to restaurants and shopping. The room was not clean. The jacuzzi was dated. There was brown colored build up in the jets, rusty/broken faucet and knobs.. there was candle wax all around the sides of the jacuzzi, and on the floor from a previous guest. The shower/tub in the bathroom had some kind of black flaky substance on the bottom that easily wiped off with a tissue, so clearly the shower was not cleaned. The floor had crumbs and wax flakes all over, and was clearly not swept, nor was the carpet vacuumed. The walls were dirty with fingerprints ansld splatter. The jacuzzi area and bathroom caulking was mildewed. There was broken drywall randomly throughout the room and drywall dust and debris on the floor/carpet. We slept on top of the comforter, as we did not trust the bed linens had been cleaned. We didnt even bother complaining because no matter where they had moved us, we wouldnt have trusted it was properly cleaned, and we thankfully were only staying one night. Never again. 110% do not recommend.

Hotel was very clean, staff was friendly, check-in and check-out process was quick and easy. Rooms are beautiful and worth every penny. For those that care how long it takes room deposit to be returned they return it as soon as you check-out.

I stayed at the Hyannis Plaza Hotel from July 1st to July 3rd. My partner and I stayed in the Princess Suite which cost $670 for the two nights. The hairdryer, internet and telephone in the room did not work. On the second night of our stay, we found a leak in the bathroom which covered our toilet seat, bathroom floor and jacuzzi. There was also a domestic fight happening in the room directly above us and we could hear objects being thrown. My partner decided to go reception to make them aware of the issues. The man on reception started laughing at my partner when he explained the problem. When my partner asked what was funny about the situation, the man responded with ‘you’re Irish right? Let me tell you why I’m laughing, people here in America do not care about anyone else’. I’m disappointed and disgusted with the way my partner was spoken to that night and am not sure what him being Irish had to do with anything. Ultimately, we were downgraded to another room for the night and were told there would be no manager until the next morning. Turns out that room was right beside the room with the domestic fight and my partner and I got no sleep. When we got to speak with the manager next morning, we were first told we would have to contact *********** as that is who we booked through. After I explained that wasn’t helpful, the best they could do was provide a check in the amount of $50.00. After all of this, I decided to contact the manager via email to make them aware of our awful experience and I was told that I accepted the $50 and that I was ‘clearly told that there wouldn’t be any additional discount’ and that I should’ve left their hotel if my experience was so terrible. Not sure how someone is expected to find another hotel room at 10PM and I am shocked with their response. Of course, the manager did not identify themselves in their email. Please do not waste your money here. The place is clearly falling apart, and the staff are rude and unhelpful.

I booked a suite based on the pictures, my wife and I are both teachers and this was supposed to be a getaway at the end of the summer before school started. Our room was not labeled the same suite as I had booked online,they told me it was the same thing but just by a different name. Once in the hallway of our room we were hit with the strong odor of smoke, in the room the smell was just as bad, someone was obviously smoking in the room next to us. When we got in the room several of the outlets had burn marks on them, and two of the outlets were chipped, and did not look safe to use. The shower had some mold on the walls, there were nails with no pictures haning,the window was greasy and looked like it had not been cleaned in a quite a while. My wife is very sensitive to smoke, and became very sick, I went down to the manager to inform them of the smoke and they said they would take care of it. We went out to dinner and did some shopping, when we returned the hallway smelled of febreze and smoke, it made things worse and my wife was not well. I went down to the desk and asked if there was anyway we could get our money back and leave, he told me that I would have to contact Travelocity. The next day we spent the day in town with family and when we got back to the hotel we checked out as we could not stay any longer with the smell making my wife sick so we left early. After we left I contacted Travelocity to get a refund, they contacted the hotel and the manager stated that I was told that I needed to check out by 3pm to get a refund, I WAS NEVER TOLD THIS, if I knew that I would of left the first night and drove 3 hours home. The manager lied to Travelocity to avoid having to give me a refund, they are dishonest, unclean DO NOT STAY HERE !!!!

Worst experience that I have ever had. I stayed at this place as I went on a train ride out of Cape Cod Railroad for my anniversary. First when I arrived, I felt like I was speaking to a zombie. All I got from him was sign here. The room was fine very unusual that you had to go to the main room to wash your hands after using the bathroom. Here is the worst part. I came back to hotel from my excursion. The main door to enter the hotel also attaches to a nightclub. My wife and I noticed that a bunch of people were hanging out in front and smoking ********* and being very loud. My wife was very uncomfortable trying to enter. As I entered the main lobby all I heard was very loud music and asked the same attendant(zombie man) what was going on I got nothing. As I found another way to get to my room, all doors were wide open and when I got to my room all I could hear was loud nightclub music. I went downstairs and told attendant(zombie man) to complain I got no response. Went back upstairs grabbed my luggage gave zombie man the room keys and left. No apologizes no nothing. I recommend they find a way to make it more inviting when you enter a hotel. Not sure how anyone would give them a better rating
