DoubleTree by Hilton Cape Cod - Hyannis

Overall good experience, nice and quiet hotel

This Double tree is older but has been remodeled. Lots of tour groups stay here. The room was nice and well furnished. We had several breakfasts and an evening meal here and the food was good. The bar next to the restaurant is TINY so order a drink and sit down as you may never get a seat at the small bar. This inn is at least two blocks from the nearest external restaurant and there are no sidewalks. Expect to take an Uber if you need to go to a local restaurant.

Happily found this hotel after walking away from our reservation at high-priced inn that smelled moldy and looked run down. Doubletree had nice room and friendly staff. Hot cookie at check in. Breakfast okay, not great. Very pleased overall.

The entire hotel was VERY musty and the odor was extremely strong. The hotel had dehumidifiers out in the hallways but they did little to no good; and none in the rooms. The hotel needs updating. The worst aspect by far was a rear entrance step that was not standard height with a threshold that extended a couple of inches beyond the step. This cause a 75 year old member of our group to trip and fall entering the building. Fortunately he suffered only a few bruises. The beds and pillows were comfortable and the staff friendly. No restaurant was open during our stay; at least that I saw.

An absolute disgrace. Our room required climbing up 8 steps as no elevator to the 20 or so rooms. Restaurant only serving pizza despite an interesting looking menu. No apologies. I am a Diamond member who is utterly disgusted at this third-property. We will never return and will advise everyone we know to avoid it. Hilton, you should be ashamed.

We chose to stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton for a wedding in the area, as we are loyal Hilton fans. The hotel is older and quite spread out, featuring both a large indoor and outdoor swimming pool, which was a nice touch. The staff was generally attentive, and we appreciated their efforts. However, we were surprised to find that breakfast in the dining room ends at 10:30 AM, which we didn’t realize until our second day. On that day, housekeeping came by while we were still in the room, and we kindly told them they could proceed with cleaning. Unfortunately, a supervisor later scolded us for this, citing a policy that prevents room attendants from cleaning while guests are present. This interaction felt unprofessional and left us frustrated. If this is indeed a policy, it would have been helpful to be informed of it during check-in or to find a notice in the room. I requested to speak with the head housekeeper to address our concerns. She explained that this policy is a Hilton-wide standard intended for guest safety, particularly regarding cleaning chemicals. While we understand the reasoning, clearer communication about such policies would significantly improve the guest experience. Overall, our stay had its ups and downs. We enjoyed the amenities and the attentive staff, but the lack of communication regarding housekeeping policies was a significant downside.

My family and I stayed at this hotel during the last week of August in room 421. We had the absolute best time. From the moment we stepped foot in the hotel to the moment we left, we were greeted with amazing hospitality. Ahmet was the most wonderful person and greeted us every morning with a smile. He genuinely was interested in how our stay was going! It was a joy to talk to him every day. Ahmet truly went above and beyond for us. Marwa and Gerson were also fantastic and helped make our stay great. They also went above and beyond for us. Gerson helped me with questions about my stay before I was even a guest! It’s not easy to find help like that! I would highly recommend staying at this hotel on your next trip to the Cape! Not only was the staff great, the hotel was also extremely clean, convenient to all local spots, and the food was surprisingly very tasty! Bonus- there was a particular houseman that greeted all guests daily and would sing all the time while cleaning. I looked forward to seeing him daily. I wish I caught his name!

The hotel staff is wonderful. Parking is ample and I felt safe around the area and property. Had dinner twice at the hotel and it was very good and I ask many questions about quality of food and how it's prepared. The location is within walking distance to Main Street where the restaurants, bars, shopping, historical area and a pier very convenient and super easy. The outside pool area was clean and peaceful. I did not go to the inside pool or the work out facilities. The outside seating and fire pit was lovely and again peaceful and there was plenty of room to spread out; in fact we had our dinner out there versus inside I highly recommend doing that. What wasn't the best, after booking for 5 nights with a group rate I was inquiring if they'd be able to swing another one night at that rate, mind you it's $360/night with taxes so it's not cheap. They would not; even though there were some rooms still available so they basically lost that room night revenue because as we know you can't sell it once the nights gone by. Next, my business partner came later in the stay and when she arrived, they gave her a room key without asking for identification and at that point my key didn't work, and I went to the desk to get it fixed and they ID me after being there for 3 days. That was pretty disappointing, and I was sure to let them know about the no ID from my business partner. The property does have some musty smells the carpet is old and probably should be pulled up and replaced. The walls could use some TLC. Also, when it gets really hot there is a HUGE diesel-powered generator outside one section of the guest rooms and that'll run for hours until it kicks off luckily it did kick off before sleep time, but I most certainly would not of been able to sleep with that noise - it's very loud. And also, the hotel is located across from a Regional Airport so consider some traffic above there. Bottom line - would I got back? Not sure....

This hotel is one that my daughter and I stay at every year. We love it for the location to the beach and the shops. Most of all, we love the relaxing, heated outdoor pool. However, we had to leave once and turned around once because of smokers! It’s very windy and the smoke just comes at you. The lifeguards don’t say anything as they sit on their phone. To be fair, there isn’t a sign that says “No smoking”. When I brought that to the attention of the front desk I was told, “it’s kind of a given that people shouldn’t smoke”. I agree but that doesn’t stop people from doing it anyway. A simple solution to stop inhaling others’ smoke or vape would be a well posted sign. Hopefully something will be done so that this isn’t a constant issue.
