TownePlace Suites Huntington

Love this place. TownePlace has become our favorite place to stay. Our first pleasant surprise was an outdoor swimming pool. I never liked indoor pools at a hotel. The pool was clean and warm! Amy took care of us while we stayed there for 3 days during our convention in town. We will definitely return to this hotel and hope to find Amy there. Our room was very clean and this hotel is only minutes from downtown Huntington and near I-64 but without the highway noise. The Browns

Took a chance on this place because we were driving more than could be driven in a day and needed a place to stop for the night. Some reviews have said it needs updating and wasn’t clean but we didn’t find any issues with it at all. For us we experienced a large room, comfortable bed, and decent free breakfast. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

Pretty good hotel nice and clean and staff are awesome. I stayed here for a week. Location is great. Housekeeping was wonderful and front desk staff very helpful. Thank you for an awesome stay! Also breakfast was good.

Stayed here one night, which was one too many. The property has definitely seen better days. Very run down and dirty. We stayed in a 2 bedroom unit, with a kitchen. The living room window was broken and foggy. One bedroom window screen was so bent it was gapping so opening the slide would let every bug there was in. The couch and chairs looked like they came from a rummage sale. This property charges the same as the nicer ones I’ve stayed at. Very disappointing.

Below average for town place. Very Small room. Little bathroom counter space. Odd smell throughout. Also worn uncomfortable couch. Not Marriott level quality. More like a step down chain. 200 characters 200 characters

The suite had a full kitchen and the desk/work area was very functional. The room was a little smaller than what I expected for a suite though, but had a big closet. "Donna" was the friendliest and most helpful front desk employee I've ever encountered at any hotel. A couple of mornings, the staff only had a couple of things out to eat well after the breakfast had started, so my wife and I ate at the Bob Evans next door. Our room was on the top floor, back side so we didn't hear any noise at night during our stay, such as noise from the parking lot. The fitness center has only 2 treadmills, an elliptical that was banging very loudly when I used it, and a couple of dumbbells and a bench. The pool is an outdoor pool and the hotel provides grills for guests' use. The hotel is very close to I-64 and only a few minutes from the downtown Huntington area. It was convenient for where my wife and I wanted go go.

This property seems to be older than the other two TownPlace Suites I have used and showed a little more wear. However, the public areas and our room were clean and neat. The bed was fairly comfortable. The towels too thin. The room was smaller but adequate. Forks and spoons were originally missing from the kitchen but the staff supplied them when requested. The desk clerk was friendly and efficient. The worse aspect was that the grounds should have been better kept. But all in all this property was way better than the Super 8 across the street.

A typical Marriott TownePlace. Clean, spacious, kitchen area. However a few things soured our experience when we arrived. First, it was pouring rain and they don’t have a covered car drive through to unload. We checked in and my wife went to the room while I parked. She opened the door and found a nice gentleman sitting on the couch watching TV. They had given us a room that was already occupied! They both went down to the desk to get it cleared up. My wife was quite annoyed and gave the clerk an earful. Rather than own it and apologize, he kept saying it wasn’t his fault. He just gave her a room the computer said was vacant. Other than that, a pleasant stay.

Filthy and dirty. Marriott should feel embarrassed with this property. I am here for work. The first room that I checked into the room was blazing hot because the thermostat was broken. No problem, they moved me over to the next room. The room is completely filthy with leftover food in the fridge and freezer, food particles in the sink, a cracked mirror, and it looks like the door has been kicked in. I hate it here.
