I recently booked a one-night stay at a hotel with an ocean view. After a long drive from San Francisco, all we wanted was a clear room to rest. When I entered the room, the window had bars and overlooked a wall. The room smelled of mold and cigarettes. The room still had instects on the floor. I immediately went back to reception to speak with the manager. I received a response from the front desk that he is unavailable for you because he is busy answering emails. The receptionist was so rude that he began to yell at me and refused to assist me. When I finally spoke with the hotel owner, he advised me to call booking and cancel the reservation. When I called booking, the cancellation request was automatically sent to the owner, who refused to accept it. After dealing with the owner and representative for over an hour and refusing to refund me for providing incorrect information about the room, he decided to kick me out of the room I had paid for. In about an hour, the owner went to the room where I had only left my luggage and told me to leave. He did not refund my money and informed me that I could not stay here.
