"VERY over priced. Coffee - only 2 sachets provided. No option of tea. So either have one before bed or the morning!!! The only form of toileties, was a little round soap in a wrapper and an empty plastic bottle with a label stating "shampoo". Not even hand soap at the basin or a hand towel. Single ply toilet paper looked like rats had been at it. Mats in the bathroom had holes, as did the spare double/queen sized blanket for the single bed. No hairdryer. Electric blanket did not work and temp was around 3°. Thank goodness I had taken my hotwater bottle. Had 3 mis-matched cups, glasses, plates etc. Floor rug could do with a wash. Curtains are really thin and don't block out the lights from outside. Only 1 2-pin plug point in the room. There were various notices stuck with prestick on the walls indicating Rules, Tv guide, don't feed dogs, no smoking etc. Why not put all in a little flip file all in one place?? The single bed was comfortable and there was hot water for a shower. Location is good but needs loads of TLC. Don't think I will be going back any time soon."

Der Raum war gedanklich dekoriert, unglaublich komfortable, warm und überraschend geräumigtruly hatte alles, was wir brauchten und mehr. Was die Erfahrung noch besonderer war die Gastfreundschaft. Die Gäste waren so warm und willkommen, von der Rezeption direkt bis zum Restaurant. Jeder, mit dem wir interagierten, war freundlich, untergebracht und wirklich machte uns zu Hause fühlen. Dies war ein so erinnerelicher AufenthaltIch werde sicherlich zurück sein und würde nicht zögern, es anderen zu empfehlen."

All the staff members were friendly and very helpful. The food served was of an exceptional standard. We were both extremely impressed with the food, and we had a number of guests complement the food at the wedding. Firstly, the reservation did not include any meal provisions, necessitating that guests organize their own dining arrangements. Incorporating inclusive meal plans or, at the very least, providing breakfast options would greatly enhance convenience and contribute to a more seamless guest experience. Secondly, during the New Year’s countdown from midnight until approximately 11:00 am, we experienced a complete lack of network reception. This absence of connectivity limited our ability to share content on social media during this momentous occasion. Ensuring reliable network access, particularly during significant events, would significantly improve the stay for guests wishing to share their experiences in real time. Addressing these areas could further elevate the experience for future guests at Hawklee Country House."

"I received this accommodation as part of my 6 day tour. Stayed here 2 nights. Things that matter to me. After using my towels first day, I left it on the floor. On coming back, found it hanging on the rack to be used again. Complaint to reception I was told "we don't change towels daily, welcome to Africa". I don't agree, this was my day 21, it's not true. Asked for towels which I was given. Breakfast was included in my deal, nothing special basic English Breakfast. Only soap is provided in bathroom. Toilet paper provided is very poor quality, worse than backpackers hostel in Thailand. Room is clean, no insects. Heater and power points. Fridge, microwave, kettle that worked. Toilet pan, cupboard and drawers all run down. WiFi good quality. TV was small and old, could not cast. TV hooked to a box with programs that wasn't desirable. No YouTube, Netflix etc. For SA room doors and windows were secure."

Ich erkenne an, dass wir eine erstaunliche Spezial für Mutter’s Day hatten, aber es scheint einfach unnötig, die Zahlung für einen kurzen Schwimmbad hinzuzufügen! Die Zugabe von Einzel- und Unterhaltungsräumen macht für einen sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt. Die Unterkunft ist rustik, aber komfortabel. Ich habe jedoch eine Warnung. Die Schritte zur Wohnung haben keine Eisenbahn und kann für einige Menschen schwierig zu navigieren. Der Feuerplatz ist sehr angenehm, aber nicht erwärmen Sie das Zimmer, was für einen ziemlich kalten Aufenthalt im Winter machen könnte. "
