We purchased the breakfast package (family of 4) for the 3 days we were there, which was worth it in my opinion, however, Anna, the young lady that checked us in was very unprofessional and rude when I inquired about what I needed to do for the breakfast because she had not mentioned details about it when I checked in. We also had Hershey park tickets that I had not received, and she had a very quick response of they should be received in email. When I explained I hadn't gotten them, she offered to print them. Once they were printed & given to me, it is then I asked about the breakfast package if I needed vouchers or anything. She made a sigh & rolled her eyes 🙄 in front of me as though I shouldn't have asked that question. Ugh, that started our trip off well... NOT! 😡 The hotel itself is very outdated and has tight quarters for rooms with 2 beds. We were put in the Reeses tower, which is close to the indoor pool, but is also a nice confusing walk to the lobby & restraunts that are in the Kisses tower. Our room's coffee pot kept turning itself on and off at different times during the day & night. The breakfast buffet (on weekends) in the Fire & Grain was good, as well as the regular menu breakfast during the week. Bear's Den food was decent. The gift shop was nice & staff was friendly. We spent the day at Hershey Park all day on Sunday and got a text in the mid-day (thankfully, I checked it) from the hotel that said they would be cutting off the power in the hotel from 12AM-5AM Monday morning. My husband requires a CPAP to sleep, and when he called the hotel to inquire about it, they apologized and said it was something unexpected that needed to be done, however, on the shuttle back to the Lodge we found out from other guests that they knew about the power outage for a week, but the staff didn't bother to mention it to us when we checked in. My husband spoke with the manager on Duty (same person he spoke with on the phone about what could be done) when we got back to the lodge, and the manager admitted that he had lied to my husband on the phone. They did make a reservation for us at The Hershey Hotel for Sunday evening so my husband could get some sleep and comped the stay there (more expensive accommodations, $509 for one night), then came back to Hershey Lodge for the last night of our vacation. The indoor Waterpark is very small compared to Great Wolf Lodge, and caters more to younger children (I have teens). The kids did enjoy the watersides, but that was the only thing they could really do because the regular pool area is small. Our servers at the restraunts and other restraunt staff were awesome, with no issues at all, more accommodating and wonderful customer service!
