Quality Inn & Suites

The housekeeping was subpar. (I saw a q-tip on the floor that was not ours). The ac/heating unit in two different rooms kept flipping off. The manager finally came and fixed one in the 2nd room they put us in. There was tape covering the smoke detector in the fitness room. They were friendly and worked to fix the heater to keep our business, but this place should not be your first choice.

Breakfast was below average - no sugar, no pepper, no sausages, no fruits, no lids for coffee cups. At least the eggs were hot. Internet sucks!!!! Even if you can connect, there still isn't any service. I called several times - each time they said it was working. I said, "none of us can connect." They said, "well, either our system is going through an update and should be available shortly, or too many people are using it." I tried over the course of the hours that night and again the next morning. Still couldn't connect. The room phone didn't work. Dog was in a room near ours and started barking early in the morning. Hotel says no pets. Go figure.

While touring Mississippi, we wanted to visit some of the smaller towns. Laurel MS was one of our destinations, and we decided to stay in Hattiesburg. The town and surrounding area has a great history and downtown attractions. The Quality Inn was chosen as we are Choice Privileges members. Very dissapointed. The carpet on our floor when leaving the elevator was stained and dirty. Our room was very tired. The toilet seat was held on by one bolt. The counter was full of cigarette burns. The sink drain was broken. The carpet was stained as were the chair and couch. The TV remote was missing and we went to call the front desk only to discover the phone was not connected to anything. The towel bar in the bathroom was broken and laying on the counter. The light fixture in the entry was hanging out of the ceiling, as were several in the hallway. Then, when getting into the shower, we see dried blood on the shower curtain. The bed was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was fine. Employees were friendly and seemed concerned about our issues. This place needs work!

If you are traveling any where near Hattiesburg staying at this hotel is worth a slight to moderate deviation. I have stayed at hundreds of motels all over the Country, this hotel ranks in the top ten! The lady at the desk started our stay off with a smile and an attitude where she just couldn’t help us enough! Her professional approach to getting us into a clean comfortable room quickly and efficiently was to be emulated by all other motel staff! She may be very well the best we’ve experienced! The man at check out was wonderful, please allow me to mention him! The room was perfect, clean and comfortable! The breakfast was hot, well stocked and very tasty! Overall, this was a perfect stay!

Absolutely terrible we stayed for 10 days . With a southern MS football game that 1st weekend there were no rooms in other hotels. If we had moved to a different hotel we could only get a few days here and there . The carpets are all stained, the first room wasn't clean so we were moved to a different room Took 2 days to get a desk chair. The couch was stained put towels on it. They appear to be painting walls but now paint splatters all over bathroom fixtures and carpet Had a Jacuzzi suite which I ran hot water with a pint of bleach through them reran with plain hot water The one area of hallway ceiling is water stained and moldy Out doors by stairwell left unlocked lots of homeless one morning one was sleeping in the stairs well. The breakfast Never changed same every day just not pleasant Overall the staff were pleasant The price was reasonable but not worth it. Spend more go else where

Just go somewhere else. There are stains everywhere. There are toenail clippings in the floor. There is mold in the bathtub. Our friends that are staying across the hall had a roach in the bathroom sink. The checkin lady was nice. The man that took the reservation on the phone earlier in the day made us incorrect reservations but she fixed it. The lobby smells like pine-sol but both of our rooms smell awful. In one fridge there is mold and in the other room the microwave has old food stuck on it.

My sister and I stayed at this motel on July 1st 2023 on our way to Florida. My husband had made the reservations, but when I checked in I told the lady not to charge his credit card because my sister and I were sharing the cost so I put it on my card. At about 10 or 10:30 there was a knock on our door, it was the lady from the front desk wanting my credit card because she had put us in the wrong room so she needed to rerun my card. I was not comfortable giving my card to a stranger so I told her that since I was already in bed I would take care of it in the morning. At midnight she called our room wanting me to bring my card down to the front desk. Again I told her I would take care of it in the morning. When I went to check out they again asked for my card, I had already checked and my card had already been charged. She was insisting that I had not paid for the room even after I showed her that my card had been charged, so I called my husband who checked his card and his card had also been charged. We have disputed the charge with our credit card company but the Motel is still insisting that we have not paid for the room even after we have showed them that both of our cards were charged!! I feel like they are very dishonest people. Would not recommend staying. Very hateful to call your room and come knock on your door at midnight!!

Booked a room, only to leave within 10 minutes after check-in. Room was on 3rd floor. Stepped off the elevator and the temperature was extremely hot in the hallway with a horrible smoke smell of cigarettes. Could not get door open to room because cards did not work. Went back to front desk. Another couple who had just checked in as well were at front desk with photos of their room which had cigarette buttons and ashes on the floor, roaches and mold. We said no thanks, we were leaving. And headed further down the road to find another hotel.

This is a second-rate hotel. Walking in, the lobby and hallway were uncomfortably warm. Upon entering the room, we both noticed it smelled stale and sumwhat musty. The rooms were badly outdated, the bathroom fixtures were worn and discolored, the drain plug in the sink was disconnected and lying in the sink, the TV cable was run through a small piece of pvc and lying exposed on the floor along the wall, and there were no instructions for the TV remote (no, it did not operate the TV as simply as you would think.) The hotel still allows smoking on the 3rd floor. When we got off the elevator on the second floor, we got the strong smell of **** smoke in the hallway. We will not stay here again.
