Clifford Gardens Motor Inn

There was one positive about this place and it was the friendly man who checked us in. Lovely bloke. He must be an employee as the owner wouldnt seriously show his face in such a manner. My mother told me the old gem if you cant say something nice say nothing at all but I need to say that this place is very run down and apart from just needing a refurbish all the basic bits and pieces are broken or dirty. I really don't know where to start from the broken plastic rubbish bin which they could replace from across the road at the shopping centre anytime to the broken Towel rack to the broken hair dryer all low price things that can be easily done. It wouldn't hurt them to check the cupboards and fridge when they clean the room if I can say clean they need to run a damp cloth across surfaces and cupboards and the fridge etc to get rid of previous people's spills. The linen and beds were very good.though.oh the water in shower fluctuates from boiling to cold with no rhyme nor reason.

The room was dirty, we had to sweep the floor so our one year old could walk around on the floor, there was food still in the plates that hadn’t been washed properly. Food stains on the doona insert that had no cover and was just between two sheets. Hair shavings on the floor in front of the hand basin and the oven didn’t work in the apartment we booked. Would definitely not stay there again. Use to stay there fairly regularly when I was a child with my parents and even as a young adult and was disappointed to see how much it has declined

I could not stay at this Motor Inn. The shower, chairs, walls, and counter tops were filthy. There was no air conditioning in the main room I did not feel comfortable having the glass door open to let some fresh air in, because the room backed onto the main carpark and the screen door was not secure. The light in the second room was broken.

Due to the housing crisis a lot of hotels are doubling as emergency accommodation. The owner of this establishment (white Aussie guy) treats the "paying guests" and emergency accommodation people very differently. He is very aggressive, hot headed and doesn't understand respecting a woman's personal space. He leaned over me and I felt his breath on my ear and his body heat on my back 🤢. I said "you're standing way too close" he remained there so I quickly got up and moved; as did he. The next day he sent his henchmen in to inspect my room and surprise surprise it wasn't "clean enough" and I had to leave. The owner of this establishment lords his power over people going through the worst time of their lives and treats us like absolute garbage. Don't get me started on how he treats his poor staff (I think they believe the abuse is normal now- very sad indeed). FYI I'm an established business woman and although it isn't a multi billion dollar company for most of my life I've earned my money, payed my bills and more importantly- PAYED MY TAXES. I'm entitled to get help when necessary and the government are putting hotel owners in charge of people like we are their property. Disgusting system and its being run by right winged nuts that think they're judge, jury and executioner of who "deserves help" and who doesn't. Yuck. DO NOT STAY HERE.

Friendly staff. Very large rooms. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. Great location as shopping centre just across the road. Surprisingly quite for location. Just a couple of recommendations: maybe install a sheer curtain on front window for privacy. Bathroom is a little outdated, could do with a refresh. Overall great value for money.

We did not have a very good experience. We had people very loud and drunk. We had vomit marks on the floor. The microwave is broken. Paint is peeling on the inside and dirty walls. Dirty Carpet and dirty marks on doors and walls and the heater broken and smelt disgusting. Fridge was rusted out in some paper like stuff frozen in the freezer bit. And under the sink, there is old water rotted away And to top it off there is mould all over the bathroom roof.
