The hotel is fine. My complaint is with management. I did make a mistake of making a booking error and booking a week later than when I intended to stay. I found out upon checking in. During this time I paid the current rate (which was $73 more than the rate I pre-paid). I was told I couldn't get a refund for the original date I booked, but was given the manager's number to speak with, as they have discretionary power to provide refunds under certain circumstances (booking errors being one). When I called, I asked for the manager. I was asked who I was and what the call was about. I explained the situation. After being put on hold, the same lady came back, not the manager - I was told "sorry, we can't provide a refund as it was pre-paid". At minimum I expected to at least hear the manager explain to me why, but I wasn't given the common courtesy. I'm a Bonvoy Gold member. I know I won't stay at this hotel in the future.
